I think she can get in, just without having a second DK upload, but I'd ask Brock Reiher just to be sure
It really is such an obvious choice for a general direct character reveal looking back on it. Hard to get much more mass appeal than Animal Crossing.
Why would anyone expect some badass trailer with a hard rock theme for an Animal Crossing character? It's a chill series and the trailer reflects that.
The more the unique characters the merrier, there's always DLC if your favorites don't get in

I've been sitting at it a while, and there doesn't seem to be a clean way to have a Character Select Screen in both expanded (echoes have own slot) and combined form. I've tried with 5, 6 and 7 rows. Assuming you have 1 Random Select spot, we currently have 69/75 slots filled.
We could do 72/78 but that means we get 3 Newcomers and nothing else and we have 6 rows.
(Seems unlikely no more echoes, though this looks the most possible to me)
We could do 70/77, which means 1 newcomer and 1 echo, and we have 7 rows.
(Seven rows is a lot, I don't think this will happen.)
We could do 70/80, which means 1 newcomer and 4 more echoes, and have 5 rows.
(Also possible, but I just can't imagine only 1 more newcomer with all the speculations)
So, I can conclusively say that the Character Select Screen will not be clean in BOTH forms. So expect there to be empty spaces and not a clean rectangle. Of course DLC will fill these voids, but it is just interesting to note.

Really dissapointed about the reactions of the Smash Fanbase for Isabelle.

I was always under the assumption we'd be getting both. I may not have been around too much recently to express it, but I always assumed the roster here would be like any other. Like Inklings and Isabelle are two very popular and more modern characters while you've got the big guest in Simon with bonus in Richter, and popular characters for Smash like DS, Chrom, and especially Ridley and Rool as the long awaited ones from the ballot

I wouldn't be surprised if Isabelle did well in the Ballot.
Same. This has been the roster for me outside of chrom...but even chrom at least is funny just for the memes, same with daisy. Incineroar would put a blemish on it though.
Smash 4 didn't introduce any semi clone in it's roster and the closest it got was Roy in DLC. We just thought Semi clones were done based on that and the existence of Echoes.
Anyone who voted thinking the ballot was for smash 4 dlc probably wouldn't vote for any assist trophy or boss character hence why some thought Ridley did poorly in the ballot.
nah because I love greninja and the froakie line, like more than any other starter, so I guess it's just balancing that out.
That's a big assumption based nothing. I'm sure there a ton of votes for characters that were assist trophies, background characters, or the like.

Makes sense. Though some in the fan base seemed to think there was no possible way it could happen.
I'm really disappointed at the Isabelle reaction. And it's all because she's not an Echo and the only fighter introduced today.
