There's... really no reason to remaster the games on PC.
Well, aside from making the UI resolution independent.
Sure there is. I'm not talking about a simple resolution bump obviously. Mass Effect 1 in particular has a lot of rough edges that they could polish, everything about the way the game moves is kind of shit to be honest, and certainly the texture work could use an update. Even with the texture mod it just looks rough in a lot of spots. And obviously official controller support. The mod is cool and all, but it's not perfect by any means.

There's a lot more they could do, but it's never going to happen.

I suppose the movement that's been happening in steamdb for World of FF means that Maxima will be an update to the game rather than a new app.

Capcon Beat 'Em Up Bundle coming to PC.

Includes:
  • Final Fight
  • Captain Commando
  • The King of Dragons
  • Knights of the Round
  • Warriors of Fate
  • Armored Warriors (PC/Console debut)
  • Battle Circuit (PC/Console debut)
Fuck yeah, The King of Dragons is the only arcade game I could 1cc.
Warriors of fate is amazeballs as well. Wish it had The Punisher and Cadillacs and Dinosaurs as well though.

Why, oh why is there no mention of FFTactics in that bloody Final Fantasy tweet. Square Enix is just stupid for not porting the game anywhere...

Real talk though, the "Death Wish" challenges are really, really hard. I'm not even close to finishing the very first one.

Poker Night 2 has been withdrawn from sale on digital platforms due to the expiration of our digital distribution agreement. We currently do not have any plans to renew this agreement.

But... it was developed internally and self-published. This reminds me of when the Euro Truck Sim devs said they'd soon be deleting some older builds from the branch list as they hit a non-existent limit.

I'm curious if S-E announce the release of certain titles on Steam closer to their own release on consoles. I wouldn't mind a few weeks between console and steam release, but in general they really need to start pushing towards simultaneous PC+Console release for their titles more.

Anyone played Frozen Synapse 2 yet? Reviews look good, but I haven't had time to buy and play it myself yet.

So if you buy the Monthly can you give Overwatch away and keep the mystery games?
(I imagine yes, but it never hurts to double-check)

The way I see it, should the row that has overwatch's code in have a link for 'gift this game', then yes you can gift it but keep the rest of the games in the bundle.
In the end you are merely gifting a code, not the bundle itself.

So that new age feature that Valve added to Steam is pretty cool, I checked to see what one dev did with it and sure enough they made certain content a free download instead of having to patch it in and not only that but Steam is able to recognize that DLC as being part of the new feature.

I guess that solves the VN problem on Steam???

You all probably already talked about this but I just thought it was cool to see how this could help some devs.

Today I learned that your Power Supply unit can short circuit if not placed probably on insolating pads.

The Verge
I barely no much of if anything at all about all the outs and in of PC but that just doesn't sound right.

Also how often should I actually try to clean that fan area of my PC? Luckily it hasn't caught on fire or anything after all these years.

Can somebody interpret this?

DnATL53W0AYELKb.jpg

Which of these games is announced for steam?

The tweet is poorly worded, because if someone reads that, it's like all those titles should releas everywhere. And if you think so, it's really like that: FFIX, X-X-2, XII, VII and World of FF are already available on PS4 and PC, while they will release for Switch and One in the near future.
So I suppose PC users will get the Pocket Edition, Crystal Chronicles and Chocobo Mystery Dungeon eventually.

Seems very likely seeing how I don't think any FF games has released on consoles and PC at the same time. Also even though FF World thing is just DLC so it makes sense as to why they mentioned PC on that at least

I just looked at my wishlist, and holy crap AA+ games are expensive as fuuuu-

capturejzcps.png
Kingdom Come is quite cheap here, only $25. Vampyr and FFXII is $30. South Park is the same as NNK2, $50. I think $30 is the limit for AA games to me.

Speaking of, I found this interesting. Out of my 400+ Steam friends, only 3 of them who own this game.

And all of them are my fellow countrymen. The game is only $12 here.

I guess when it's too good to resist, we'll buy games even though they're only half decent. It's also prominent when there's a price error. Even if it's an obsecure game, our people will buy it in droves.

Was the game available to pre-order on Steam? If it was, do you know if there were any pre-order bonuses (Bandai Namco usually has some for their Anime properties)?
I completely forgot about this game. :)

Awesome news!
Unless there's any big problems with the port, this will surely end up being one of my favourite releases of the year.
I love 2D side-scrolling beat'em ups, so much in fact that I keep pestering any company that releases Japanese titles and that has an online presence (Degica, Playism, Capcom, Konami, Taito, ...) to release some on Steam.
7 games, for an awesome price (less than $20), and already releasing next week, I really couldn't ask for more.

Hopefully, if this sells, they may release a volume 2, ideally with some licensed properties. I would love to have on Steam games like The Punisher, Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, Alien vs. Predator, and, even though they were not originally Arcade titles, Final Fight 2 and 3 (I rather like them).

Huh, I guess it's a good think I hadn't gotten WoFF yet. Wonder how much the upgrade DLC will be.
The additions definitely make it look like it will the definitive version:
Point 3: Go Fishing with Noctis! – A new mini-game where you can fish with Final Fantasy XV protagonist Noctis has been added. The mini-game has its own dedicated background music.
Finishing mini-game!

Discovered Micro Mages via SweetSark's topic. A 40KB actual NES platformer that's already complete and just needed the funds to manufacture the physical carts. Thankfully it reached its goal already.

Looking forward to the April 2019 release. Non-physical copies will be via ROMs that can be emulated on PC, etc.

Yep, it's good.

If you liked Frozen Synapse, or just like the idea of Frozen Synapse but never actually played it, Frozen Synapse 2 is better in every way.

The XCOM: Apocalypse style living city-scape is a massive improvement over the linear campaign of the first game, or at least it is if you're an emergent-systems junkie like me.

That said, the tutorialisation is teeeeerrible. It covers the basics okay, and the combat, but it gives you zero clue how to really "work" the city.

There are so many things you can do, that are never really explained why you would do them, what you gain, what you lose. The story missions help some, but it's really a game like you have to be willing to start over a lot as you learn new stuff.

Hard recommend, but man, you gotta work for it.

(The above is based on ~6 hours of play, so I'm sure there's even more stuff that I don't even know I don't know)

I wonder how much Capcom will charge for the collection this time, considering there are something like 7 games. They charged 40€ for 12 SF games (and many of them are pretty much the same), this time we have 7 games, so probably less than 15€ (or 15€)?
Also I hope it's a better work than the SF Collection, dunno if they patched it but there were many issues.

It's 20€ on the Switch eshop.

I wonder if it's actually Sega -- the USK entry only mentions tri-Ace.
(I actually hope for Sega since their recent PC versions were great)

Remember when mocking Sega for lack of more PC ports was a thing in these PC threads not too long ago?

Fast forward to now that we have Shenmue, Yakuza, Valkyria Chronicles 4, and now Resonance of Fate on PC. Pretty amazing.
