Meta only has a ballpark .25 to .3 r-squared to sales, so it certainly wouldn't be impossible or a sub 9 meta game to break into the sales neighborhood of 9+ games. It's rare to be sure, but that's why they're called outliers when it happens.
God of War is already one massive positive sales outlier for PS4 this year. Looking quite likely that Marvel's Spider-Man could give the platform two.
This happening is exceptionally rare, obviously. If Spider-Man can hit the type of numbers that seem possible, well, certainly something special.
However, it'll still be good to keep in mind that outlier positive performers are outliers because they are so rare, and to expect that kind of performance with other games or even sequels to these particular outliers would be risky and probably unreasonable.
I am looking forward to the September numbers. Gotta get through August first though.
