It's kinda surreal lol.
That's not what the thread is about though.
I would get it if it wasn't for that waste of SD-card space of X-2. If they would sell it standalone I would immediately get it. Not with that turd attached though.People should be more hyped about X.
It's the best mainline FF title that the Switch is getting.
X-2? What is that? X never got a sequel, you must have imagined it.I would get it if it wasn't for that waste of SD-card space of X-2. If they would sell it standalone I would immediately get it. Not with that turd attached though.
It's so poetic I could cry.
Final Fantasy VII is coming home to a cartridge-based Nintendo console. In fact, every singleplayer Final Fantasy game except XIII is now playable on a Nintendo console!
It's insane. After all these years, Nintendo is officially "back".
Why? They probably just put the Steam version and called it a day.
People should be more hyped about X.

It seems. I never thought this would happen.Automata put in work I guess. I think a lot of Japanese titles with the proper marketing a digital only releases can find success on Xbox.
Or PS4 for that matter. The prodigal son returns!
Although it's weird VIII isn't hitting Switch or Xbox...
Get ahold of yourself. It's so poetic I could cry.

I mean what's sassy about pointing out that OP is talking about FF VII being on a Nintendo console after all those years and it being the game that started the abysmal 3rd party situation Nintendo has been in since?
Riiight.I really cannot understand this surprise over a 20 year old game.
Why? They probably just put the Steam version and called it a day.
Ill be getting all of them on my Switch though.
Come on Lightning trilogy.
Because the Switch are getting ports of FF games? Why is this so magical to people? Nintendo brought Cloud to Smash Bros. and that was way more surprising than this.
Im telling folks it will be a remake like 7 watch. For 2020. Otherwise why go out your way to ignore it?

I don't think Xbox has not the same history with FF that Nintendo and Sony have with the game and each other.
Switch is the first Nintendo platform since the SNES where bringing these types of games to the console actually makes commercial sense. The hardware sales are there, but more importantly, the audience consists of the types of users that will actually purchase this content, unlike, say, Wii.
It's the historical significance of it that's just a big deal. It's like the first time Sonic appeared on a Nintendo console, only bigger, because FF7 was originally intended to stay in Nintendo's corner.Because the Switch are getting ports of FF games? Why is this so magical to people? Nintendo brought Cloud to Smash Bros. and that was way more surprising than this.
Shoot, I forgot FF8 just like everyone always does. Lol. Tbf though Squeenix evidently did too.
People should be more hyped about X.

All good. I really didn't get what that poster was trying to accomlish with that in a thread like this tho lol.
FFVIi was meant to come out on N64. Square decided to take them to PS as the cd room was way cheaper than cartridges. Word on the street sayes Nintendo told them not to go back to them. So yeah, big news that FFVIi is finally coming to a Nintendo device.
The game is as old as me. I don't understand it.
X-2? What is that? X never got a sequel, you must have imagined it.

yeah its hella interesting also see this thread lol
might be the first time I playe 7 ...if the remake doesn't come out before 2020 T_T

The game pretty much was one of the main reasons PS1 took off, left the N64 behind and is the poster child of third parties abandoning Nintendo, which went on for as long as you're alive. Until today.
