How loud is your Spiderman PS4 Pro ?

I'm curious about this, myself. I really want the Spider-Man PS4 Pro, but have heard that the newer ones are still really noisy, and that's what bugs me about the one I've been using and sharing. It sounds like a jet engine while playing God of War or Spider-Man, or even lesser games.

Need more time to give opinion....:P

Mine's been whisper quiet since I started using it last Friday.

It got very loud while sitting inside my entertainment center shelf. I pulled it out to the edge and it still gets loud, but less often.

I haven't noticed it sounding like a jet engine while playing Spider-Man or Divinity 2. No louder than my original PS4 at least. I'll have to test it with stuff that really pushed my original PS4, like Terrorist Hunt in Siege.

Extremely quiet. I barely notice it.

My Pro is very loud during games like Horizon and God Of War, but during Spider-Man it has been relatively quite. Only during some cutscene its seems to start the jet engines.

Surprised by the quiet posts, since people elsewhere have been saying that new models are still super loud.

Not loud at all, basically silent.

Yep. Anyone giving their opinion should test stuff like HZD and GOW. Spider-Man just isn't a game that makes the system very loud anywhere.

Because what is acceptable for one person won't be for another.

In my experience it takes a while for the PS4 Pro fan to get loud. My launch pro was whisper quiet for months before I started to notice it getting worse. Took the top off and, despite not being dirty at all I dusted the inside. Still really loud when playing certain games

Not a Pro but for the record my normal launch PS4 barely makes a sound during Spiderman while God of war almost killed it several times.

It's loud but not extremely loud as when i'm playing God of War to be honest.

Same situation for me on the latest standard black model CH (Pro)

I think this is more related to specific things the PS4pro is doing. my pro will work normally except for a few odd times.

God Of War: map screen, crafting
CoD MP Beta: menu screen

these instances would make the fan run full speed. backing out to anything else would slow it back down again. I think this is a uncapped fps/developer issue. not sure why the Spiderman SKU would be any different.

Quiet as a mouse.

It depends on what's going on in the game. When free roaming its pretty quiet. When I'm in fucking Otto's lab for some reason it's sounds like it's about to explode.

Pretty silent as my Pro is with any other game. I must've hit the jackpot with my launch Pro, because it the most silent console I ever owned. That being said, it gets quite hot at the back, which worries me a bit. So maybe the fan isn't putting in as much work as it should and which would make it louder. So far my Pro works flawlessly since launch though. *knocks on wood*

Oh, I understood the thread wrong. I thought it was about how loud all PS4 Pros are playing this game.

Sounds like a private jet taking off. But NBA 2K19 sounds like three private jets. Either way, it's worrisome loud.

Spidey looks incredible on my TV (1080). probably the best open world game i've seen on my tv so far

new pro owner though. compared to my OG Ps4 it's a ninja

It gets (really) loud during some cutscenes but it's fine during gameplay.

got the PS4 Pro 500 Million Edition, and it makes no noise

Same on OG PS4 Pro.

It's super loud, to the point that it's louder than when I have my TV, High End Gaming PC and Xbox One X all running at the same time. It's quite distracting when there isn't constant loud game audio or if I'm not using headphones. Forget leaving it on while I do anything else.

I haven't tried a Digital Game yet so I don't know if the spinning disc is a significant part of the problem. I also do use Boost Mode and Super Sampling mode.

Theres 2 fans sony is using i heard one is quiet the other not so much. So its a fan lottery. Dunno how legit that is but thats what i heard.

Fans go super loud during any "cutscenes". Jet engine is real.

The fans kick in at times, but it's never distracting or worrying.

They're brand new so you'll be hard-pressed to find one that's loud out the gate.

That said, give it some time i'm sure they will be just as loud as the regular pro later down the line.

Mine is absolutely whisper quiet. Granted I play at 1080p so it may not be pushing it as hard. I was kind of worried as my white destiny ps4 would get loud quite often, not jet engine like the poor poster that made the thread a week or two ago on here but loud enough.

So far, this thing has been super quiet.

Edit: Also, so far I have only played spiderman on it. Probably need to put it through the paces a bit more before I jinx myself.

My friend says his is fucking loud as hell.

I think some people didn't understand the topic, he's asking how loud the new spiderman ps4 pro system's are for those that have it, not regular ps4's or older ps4 pros.

I'd be interested to know this as well since my launch ps4 pro gets so damn loud at times it sounds like a jet taking off in my room, even hearing the fans over my sound system.

May I ask where your going to buy one? I'm interested in one but all of my retailers have sold out? The only ones left are resellers and they are selling for 600$

That's what I'm wondering too. Would love to get one but no retailer has one.

Quieter than the launch Pro I had, though it gets much hotter.

If you want to test those fans, MHW should make them take off by the time you get to title screen

Loud but not as loud or worrisome as God of War.

You can enjoy the game with out thinking "oh maybe I should stop...the system might melt"

I sit abbout 3 ft away from my Spidey PS4 Pro and while it's definitely louder than my PS4 Slim It's not tdistracting unless I'm playing for more than 3-4 hours. And my house is usually pretty warm at about 80f degrees.

I have the Destiny 2 PS4 Pro and I never understood the loudness complaints. I also have a soundbar + subwoofer set up so not sure if that effects it.

Model CUH 71xx systems should all have the same odds of being quiet whether they're 500 million, Spiderman LE, or matte black.

My 500 Million is very quiet. Don't even knows it's there.
