yea, that's what I was saying. The games didn't need a deep dive.
so 2018 January being a Mini has absolutely no bearing on 2019 being a mini or full. All that matters is if there's upcoming games that need extra attention, or something big for later in 2019 that needs announcing.
Presumably you'd figure January will be a full direct since there's Fire Emblem or maybe Yoshi (assuming FE doesn't just get its own direct).
but that's assuming that those games are actually Q1. Which I'm not positive about. Feel like FE could be april or may.
Yeah. I'm sure I read that there was one western megaton to be announced. I'm just assuming the western megaton is hyperbole and it's actually an old port. But a big one.

- Nintendoworld (Nintendoland but correct this time: it's a theme park builder with mini-games on the rides)
- Super Mario 3D Remix (3D World engine but remixes of levels from 64, Sunshine, Galaxy and Galaxy 2)

- Pikmin 4 Bingo Battle Royale (I *love* bingo battle)

They won't show Star Fox Grand Prix while they're trying to build an audience for Star Fox in Starlink.
Couldn't listen yet but a friend did and told me the Xplain team got a lot more safe compared to last week.
BUT mentionned that you specifically went for FF titles coming, which is something I want for the Switch as I think it would be very good for video games in general if PS1/2 RPG came to the console. Since games like Octopath are doing well, I have the feel the golden era might even slightly come back if publishers worked right.
So in a nutshell I hope your prediction is right in a way or another.

I didn't like Xenoblade 2 overall (loved specific details here and there though of course) but I still want to see how it looks and what it tries to do.
And (shame) I bought the extension with the game initially with blind trust (got bitten hard on that one especially as I NEVER buy DLC, I don't like that), so I get the new story whether I want it or not.
Without gacha and other annoying elements, maybe it can go from "dislike" to tolerable/ok/not so bad. And if the characters/story is less... let's say chapter 2 or basic shonen, it might also help.
I really would have liked it much more if the battle system was basically Xenblade 1's, even if there was 0 upgrades. But oh well... as long as it doesn't become THE new systems for all their games I'm fine.

I really want the N64 Mini announcement here just to see if Nintendo and MS worked together to get BK and BT on it.
I played a lot of MK8 on the Wii U so I havent bought it yet for Switch. But if they're going to announce a new DLC pack for it I'm so in.
I'd buy a retail reissue that included the new DLC but I'd feel iffy about rebuying a game I largely already own for the sole purpose of then buying additional content for it
With what we already know (Civ6 releasing soon!) and my sure bet on Warframe shadow dropping after the direct, this event is already a success! Finally a good direct in 2018!

Yup, along with all the Chinese Nvidia Shield ports. Lots of good Wii and Gamecube games stuck in SD or controller waggle hell.

Rayman Space Adventures. Oh boy, now I'm conflicted. Not on likeliness, just on whether this would be a good thing or not. I already considered Legends to be noticeably worse than Origins, yet it was praised, so it would probably keep going against my tastes.
Still 2017 purely because of Zelda, the best installment in my favorite series, and probably the best game of all time.
But MP4 + FE:3H + Bayo3 combined make a strong case.
