Discuss: Which potential newcomers would be good friends to have?

Wonder Red would be a dorky but nice person to be a friend with. He knows about teamwork.

Unless Sakurai specifically says it was intentional, I will forever doubt that he decided to spoil the reveal with furniture.

Fair enough. Though I wouldn't consider a hint like that outright spoiling. When I look back at the first Direct that had the Donkey Kong tree house like furniture it only looked like foreshadowing in hindsight and the idea that it was a hint didn't spread until well after K Rool was revealed.

From the beginning I've said regardless of if Skull Kid gets in, it has nothing to do with some random chairs and if you think it does you're just seeing what you want to see.

I mean on its own I wouldn't think anything of it. Couple it with the K Rool coincidence(seemingly at this point) and I find it hard for anyone to write it off entirely. Especially considering Sakurai's personality.

IIRC, he didn't say Incineroar, he just deconfirmed every other possible choice, leaving only Incinieroar as the likely one.

Though if I may ask, what is everyone's beef with Mr. Roar?

So if we get only one unique newcomer tomorrow and it's not skill kid will the chair believers still hold onto hope for skull kid? Since technically K Rool was the second newcomer reveal after the so call furniture tease.

I've been looking at Lady Bow sideways for a little while. I think s/he has had some inside info all this time. Lady Bow is what will have me holding out for Skull Kid.

The grudge some people have against fire wrestler cat is unfounded. Sure, he stands on two legs like every other fire starter, but can your Pokémon do a Swanton bomb off the turnbuckle? I don't think so.

So, who do you all think has a good chance of being revealed tomorrow? I'd love to hear legitimate predictions instead of "hehehe Waluigi hehehe."

Right now we're at a 4 new, original characters to 4 new echo fighters. I feel like they'll probably do one of each a month as of now, unless we get yet another Smash Direct. Following this train of thought, I'm thinking we'll get Dixie Kong as a Diddy Kong echo fighter tomorrow, and for a new character, I'm going with Rex and Pyra, in order to commemorate Torna's release this Friday.

here is the quote

I have heard that the Gen 7 Pokémon is Incineroar, but since not all of my sources have heard that, I prefer to put an 'asterisk' by that one since it's something I've heard from 2 people (one not even being one of my main Smash sources) but not all of my Smash sources. I wouldn't have even said anything about hearing Incineroar might be it if it weren't for Loz18 leaking that message I sent to him despite assuring me he wouldn't. -.-

These two comics perfectly sum up my feelings on incineroar.
