Anyone suprised by inbox dying is dumb. They should have saw this coming years ago when it never grew to a fraction of the usebase of Gmail.

Then the dagger came when Google released the beta of Gmail less than six months ago with Inbox features.

Google is not going to move inbox features to Gmail and support both platforms long.

Are any android watches worth buying? I had one of the 1st gen watches and liked it alright, but the battery life was crap.

You got two options.

Get the cheap tic watch as Android Wear isn't worth the premium.

OR

Get a Samsung Gear S3/Sport on sale. Don't get the Galaxy Watch it's basically a Gear S3 for more money. Get a Gear S3 or Gear Sport on sale.

What are you looking to get out of it? At the moment android watches are a half baked idea and sub par. I was all on the android watch train when the first motorola ones came out but they just have not evolved in the direction I wanted them to.

I just want Google to release the Android Messages API so that I can get RCS on Textra. It's by far the best messaging app I've used.

Still no fix for fast charging on my Pixel XL. Or calling via bluetooth headphones. Fuck this.

I'm pretty sure both Austin and Jonathan prefer iOS over Android. So does Uravgconsumer and Dom Esposito I'm pretty sure.

People don't put apps on SD cards anymore. This is why you are struggling to make sense of this. Phones come with enough storage.
Eh. I have a 32 gig phone, take a lot of photos, and have no storage on my card because of my music, so the 20GB available to me filled up within a month alongside my games and what not. To be perfectlt honest, SD cards still load apps slower than on board, but having the option to load them on there is still nice.
Friends don't let friends buy LG
Eh. LG is stupid in a lot of ways, their midrange is a dumpster fire that gives even samsung a run for their money, but they are slowly modernizing. They have an Android One G7 with a SD835 coming out this month, and a Q9 powered by a SD660 is coming as well. The latter is very interesting, as the SD660 is more than capable as a chipset, and LG's UX imo is still the most concise and fun android skin to use. MIUI is feature laden and I like the options it gives me, but everyday I miss using my old LG midranger from 2016.

Wouldn't hurt if it's adopted worldwide and across Android and iOS.

Personally I'd love to ditch WhatsApp and all their Facebook bollocks.
It's gaining support. Quite a few European carriers now have a version of it.

"Stop trying to make fetch RCS happen"

Nah, jokes aside, it took years to move everyone into Whatsapp/Telegram/WeChat/whatever since SMS never stopped being an absolute rip-off so people jumped ship at the first chance they saw to send messages virtually for free. The Messages/SMS app on phones for most people is just that useless icon where you receive spam, notifications from your bank and verification codes. Even with the market share of Android in the rest of the world they wouldn't be able to pull it off. I mean, even grandparents are on whatsapp, good luck trying to teach them a different app at this point.

Edit: also, does it even work with MVNOs? I see that carriers in Spain for example called it "joyn" but there's literally no information or advertisement of it anywhere and if you asked around, nobody knows the fuck is it. I wouldn't even be surprised if that was just another separate app that carriers load in branded phones and that people avoid touching because it looks like generic carrier garbage bloatware.

I dunno, I don't have WhatsApp installed so I only use SMS because I know everyone has it.
