Not only does that mean Isabelle is likely happening, it also means Isabelle is likely going to be unique. Isabelle is the mascot of one of Nintendo's biggest franchises. Daisy generally only gets to be in Mario spin off games, it took forever for them to add her to Mario Run.

Kind of. Richter is the echo but the entire moveset is based off of him. Yes, Simon could do a lot of the basic moves but nearly the entire moveset is from SOTN

The echoes to me are generally characters who were not getting in any other way. Dark Samus and Daisy were never getting in Smash any other way and Chrom missed the cut for Smash 4.

I thought Villager was already the clumsy fighter just because of him tripping with his potted plant, but all the other moves kinda make him out to be a character that's just totally oblivious to his surroundings.

Everybody everywhere sometime wished to shot on Duck Hunt.
We've saw how Villager can deal with tarantulas and bees (and if he/she fails it still hurt).
But Isabelle is only love and inconditional help.
Don't missunderstand me, I wanted her in smash since WiiU/3ds It's just that it really hurts to imagine someone hitting her. That's why I wish she will be an tecnical/trap character with others animals fighting for her

C'mon man, Mario is still a bigger franchise then Animal Crossing, more kids have played multiple Mario Karts then one game of Animal Crossing, which is no offense to Animal Crossing it's a big and successful franchise but Mario franchise is still top dog and more people have been exposed to Daisy

Very likely imo, and I think this is one of the reasons why Sakurai decided on revealing all characters before release.

Alph is already an alternate skin/costume for Olimar, not an echo

That's his catchphrase in the original Golden Sun. Fans of the series call him "Yammy" because in the Japanese version of the game, his only voice acted line was "Yamero!"

This sort of stuff is just why the 'echo' terminology/definition is confusing af, as Daisy could've easily been a Peach alt in this way too. It's just not very clear, imo. Alas.

TBH Alph really should have been an echo. They were going to make him his own character in Smash 4 alongside Lucina and Dark Pit but they ran out of time before they could finish him. It's a damn shame they didn't continue their work on him in Ultimate.

Yeah even if he wasn't in the main project plan like the other echoes, if there was even an idea that it MIGHT happen later in development, it is much easier to just not show Alph at all.

Dark Pit got a memory for Kid Icarus Uprising, which released only 8 months earlier than Animal Crossing: New Leaf. I think if Isabelle is in she'd get a memory.

I think it's easier for Alph because neither him nor Olimar have voice acting, whereas Peach and Daisy do.

And yes, the Koopalings have voice acting too, but it's not significant.
