I think the closest we could get to a non-megaton western bombshell would be a Switch port of Overwatch.

As for Animal Crossing, any chance for a surprise November 2018 release? That'd easily kick Switch sales to 20m for FY2019.
Overwatch would definitely be a megaton, one that would likely be saved for Blizzcon if it's coming to Switch.

I'm guessing the Nintendo 64 Classic will have the English translation of Sin and Punishment on it...it was only released for the Virtual Console and that's shutting down.

Wasn't S&P already playable in English when released in Japan ?

Maybe I'm mistaken but I played it on Wii and remember English voices with JP subtitles.

Edit : And it's available on Wii U btw.

Bayonetta 3 and Metroid Prime 4 will be a the VGAs, not a Direct. Just a feeling...

Nah I don't see Bayonetta 3 there again. I can see Metroid Prime 4 shown and Metroid Prime Trilogy HD announced there, like Bayo 3 and Bayo 1+2 were announced there last year.

I could definitely see some Bayo 3 footage dropping tomorrow.

For some reason MP4 at TGA just feels right. Don't know why, it just does hahaha.

Hopefully they announce a trilogy pack before that though.

I saw in the last few pages a couple mentions of my previous post the other day. I'm not sure why there is confusion since it was pretty clear, but to clarify again, I know of three 3rd party games for sure in the direct and 1 more that might be there (I'd bet on it). Again, I would say that they are not megatons but they are good games and a good "get" for Nintendo and a good fit for the Switch audience. Civ 6 fits in the type of game I was talking about, but I'm not going to confirm or deny that it was one of them. Everyone will see tomorrow anyway.

So you're saying you know for a fact that 4 western AAA megatons are being announced??? /s

I kid, thanks as always for the details and clarification.

We will get
Deckard Cain
from diablo 3 and you will like it.

There is not much that would make me happier.

I really wish Madden 19 or The Mass Effect trilogy was coming. Just use the 360/ps3 assets and I swear I won't complain EA.

NES Classic - November 11th, 2016
Super NES Classic - September 29th, 2017
Nintendo 64 Classic - November 2018
Game Boy Classic - November 2019

I think it's more likely for a Game Boy Classic this year. and the N64 Next. Primarily due to cost of the hardware needed to run each. The SNES Classic could run off of the NES Classics board. (According to what I've heard) I image a Gameboy Classic could to, just in a different case obviously. Then next year the N64 Classic can update the board to better run the 3d environments.

2019 is shaping up to be an excellent year for Switch.

Could be potentially better than 2017. Although, it's kind of difficult to have a better year than 3D Mario + 3D Zelda.

This is how i'm feeling. I think 2019 could be a return to the heights of 2017. 2018, by my specific tastes, hasn't been as exciting. But everything is kind of aligning in the pipeline for 2019 to have a lot of potential.

2019 is going to rival 2017, if not be better. This can't be said enough. It makes me crazy excited thinking about it.

Yes! Gonna watch it on the way back from work. Nothing too hype please because I don't want to crash while driving from excitement.

Famitsu didn't leak anything in the end.

Probably because there was nothing too leak in terms of 3rd Party since most of the big games being announced (the 4 games Vern is talking about) are all Western. We already know some, probably most, of the Japanese 3rd Party games as they've been announced by the companies already.

My dream announcement combo would be...

Erdrick in Smash, with all manner of Dragon Quest tracks, stages, and assist trophies...

But wait! We'd also like to announce that Dragon Quest XI is coming to Switch in January 2019!

But wait! We're also announcing "Classic" games for Switch, so you can play Dragon Quest 1-9 on the console for the first time.

But wait! Here's some dope-ass slime-themed Joy-Con to round it all out!
