It is likely though.
Doesn't indicate in one way or another. A week of site items could be character, stage, music 1, music 2, echo. There could even be basic items we know about like known pokeballs but if the background is a new stage from the direct they can't show it.
If Wonder Red gets deconfirmed, I will leave this forum.

Obviously, Mario music last week was for the first reveal of the direct (Geno), while this week was supposed to be a new Golden Sun track (Isaac.)

My understanding is they went 133>(day direct was supposed to air)>142>138>139>146.
So we're missing updates 134, 135, 136, 137, 140, 141, 143, 144, and 145.
The first 4 updates are probably related to our new fighter. Then there was supposed to be the Toon Link update, then something else we're missing, then Bowser, and then another group of missing posts which were probably unrelated to anything new.
Edit: I was one off, fixed.

It definitely does sound like they may have just swapped the current week's updates for next week's, so if the Direct is indeed rescheduled for this coming Thursday, the intended updates that were supposed to be put up in the wake of the Direct's original date could start going up then.
Gotta admit, I like Music Tuesdays when they aren't full of cursing disappointment. The Music Rule is a bit of a burden, though at least us it saves us a lot of time that we would otherwise use speculating about hopeless characters.
They probably did this because they wanted to adhere to the music rule. Imagine if they had a Xenoblade song go up today for example and then revealed Elma in the Direct, it would be against the rules.

So, I'm going to be at work during the Direct (assuming it starts at 3 pm PST on Thursday) and am wanting to wait until I get home and watch it before reading any news on it. What's the best way to do this without seeing anything? Can I just have the stream window open and refresh it after it has aired?
I really don't understand how people thought that was an actual option.

One thing that I just realized I want is for replays to work properly after balance patches, so that there's some way the game can load up previous balance patch values and correctly recreate old fights. I'll be very sad if replays in the final game don't work like that
Yeah that would probably work and is probably what I'll do when it airs. The stream usually starts airing 30 minutes before it starts to just start it like around 29 minutes and have it play as normal.

And here I was thinking getting a newcomer AND an echo seemed like asking for too much. Guess not lol.
I'm thinking we'll get a Newcomer at the start of the Direct. Then we'll have a Smash presentation as the final segment. After the segment we'll have another newcomer trailer. Then there will be a "one more thing" and it's a brief Echo announcement.

Haha! We are in for the ride until it ends in few months. (or extended whenever they announced something)
Why do people think it's going to be a "new series"? I don't get it. Doesn't it just point to a character that would have a "memory" post? Even Daisy got one.
That no franchises will be repeated when showing off music in the blog and that every newcomer will get a new song shown off.

If a franchise gets a song shown on the blog than it generally means it won't get a newcomer. However it can get an Echo Fighter. So for example because we already got a Zelda remix we might not get Skull Kid.

If there is a music [blog] post about a series. It means that said series wont get a newcomer.
