I was making fun of the box art lol.You better not be dissing Anniversary there, that game was awesome. I'd be Day One on a Switch port/remaster.
You know Sony hype has gotten out of hand when people create threads like "Does everyone agree that <new PlayStation game> is TEH BEST EVAR?!"Sony hype threads are just people repeating "Wow sony is BEAST" and xbox hype threads don't really exist lol
i loved the "is spiderman the best superhero game ever" thread made one hour after the game was released. You know Sony hype has gotten out of hand when people create threads like "Does everyone agree that <new PlayStation game> is TEH BEST EVAR?!"
;-)
To be fair, us Nintendo fans have often done the same, such as for Zelda. It's only natural for us to share our enthusiasm for games we really enjoy. Some folk have a nasty habit of trying to imply one of the Big 3 has a far worse fanbase than the otherYou know Sony hype has gotten out of hand when people create threads like "Does everyone agree that <new PlayStation game> is TEH BEST EVAR?!"

This lol, Nintendo hype is the best. We're just unashamedly stupid
Well speaking personally I've thought since 2017 that 2019 will be a GOAT year for Switch, so I still stand by what I said.
i think a big part of what sets nintendo hype and nintendo fans apart is the diversity. when it comes to sony, most of them like most of the games. like, if you like uncharted, you also probably liked horizon, god of war, and spiderman. nintendo's history and large catalog results in many different kind of nintendo fans and thus there are more things to talk about/argue/shitpost. i may be totally off base thoIt's a good point though- why does Nintendo seem to attract a more fanatical base than other major developers?
Is it the games themselves? Is it because Nintendo is less stereotypically "cool", so fans are generally more relaxed about expressing themselves? Is it a hive mentality thing where the actions of the few influence the many?
Genuinely want to read a research project on this now.
Well that's only AFTER the direct airs thoughNintendo hype threads usually get derailed by a excessive amount of hate and trolling.
But otherwise I agree.

I think this is fair. For instance, in terms of big Nintendo first party games, Metroid is my favorite franchise of all time and I couldn't give less of a fuck about Animal Crossing.i think a big part of what sets nintendo hype and nintendo fans apart is the diversity. when it comes to sony, most of them like most of the games. like, if you like uncharted, you also probably liked horizon, god of war, and spiderman. nintendo's history and large catalog results in many different kind of nintendo fans and thus there are more things to talk about/argue/shitpost. i may be totally off base tho
And? Did we get it? ;)
I know it's coming, but don't you guys see that this ridiculously hyping and creating false hope isn't fun?
I'd counter Sony's is just enough dumb fun that they can get the directors for the games they love to come in and join the hype. See God of War and Cory BalrogThis lol, Nintendo hype is the best. We're just unashamedly stupid
That's true, the God of War preview thread was probably the best one on this siteI'd counter Sony's is just enough dumb fun that they can get the directors for the games they love to come in and join the hype. See God of War and Cory Balrog
Out of curiosity, do you know your playtime after having done that?

My theory is that the majority of Nintendo fans are less self-conscious, as part of overcoming the hurdle of playing on a "kiddie" console. That liberates us to express our enthusiasm freely with less consideration for how others might see us, and ends up looking more "fanatical" in turn. It's a good point though- why does Nintendo seem to attract a more fanatical base than other major developers?
Hence the winky. To be fair, us Nintendo fans have often done the same, such as for Zelda.
Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.Best games, best hype threads, worst fanbase
It's the natural order of things
Don't you mean Nintendogs 3?
I didn't think about that, it's a possibility but would they really shun Android owners again if they wanted to do have crossover appeal with the mobile app and MK on Switch? We could get Mario Kart Tour details tomorrow at Apples Conference, then on Thursday we get Mario Kart 8D DLC.
It's just speculation but based on the quote that they could add more things to MK8DX, the updates we've gotten over the year to a year old game, their mobile strategy which is to bring mobile players to their consoles and Mario Kart Tour launching it does seem like we'll get DLC.i hope not, i don't want to feel like i have to play the mobile game to unlock stuff in the switch game.
Personally it took me ~20 or 25 hours to have the platinum.Out of curiosity, do you know your playtime after having done that?
Would actually buy this.
I think it's the opposite. Nintendo consoles in the past have offered less variety than consoles with a ridiculous amount of third party support, and so that attracts a type of gamer that is super keen on the types of games Nintendo themselves create.i think a big part of what sets nintendo hype and nintendo fans apart is the diversity. when it comes to sony, most of them like most of the games. like, if you like uncharted, you also probably liked horizon, god of war, and spiderman. nintendo's history and large catalog results in many different kind of nintendo fans and thus there are more things to talk about/argue/shitpost. i may be totally off base tho

I think this Direct will see some cool 2019 stuff.I think the best for the lifetime will probably be in 2019, maybe a January one.
This one will probably have remnants of stuff we already know about for 2018 - like Super Mario Party, Pokemon Let's Go. And will inevitably reveal a probably not-too-hype NSMBU port.
Of course, the Smash newcomer will be hype and there will be some surprises. But I think we'll see our best directs when next year kicks in with Prime, SMTV and Bayo ready to be seen, maybe the year after that when 3DS teams move to Switch and the 3D Mario and Zelda teams as well as Monolith are ready to show off their next projects
Interesting, thanks.Nope, but it took me from 9/7 (first trophy earned 9/7 @ 12:28AM) to the Plat trophy @ 9/9 2AM
Oh i don't disagree at all, I'm just refuting the statement that it'll be the best of the Switch's life. It still has a job to do in marketing the rest of 2018's lineup of games that we've seen a lot of already, and that's probably less exciting to people.
I think it will be the best one so far. I am sure one will eventually come along that will be better haha.Oh i don't disagree at all, I'm just refuting the statement that it'll be the best of the Switch's life. This perspective of yours, flawed though it may be, is a BEASTIt never ceases to amaze me how crazy these threads get. You don't get this with Sony or Xbox fanboys. Nintendo ones are the craziest.
I've seen otter things happen.
I would be otterly outraged! What would yall do if the direct was cancled and we get one in October?
