You're not alone! I keep wanting to like FF games, but I haven't beaten a single one. FF7 is as close as I've come.
I don't think they really care as much you think about Bayonetta. The VP of Disney Japan said Sora is in the hands of Square and Nomura to decide if he can be in Smash.
Nah, I gave the DS remake of (I think) 4 a shot, and it didn't grip me. I've played some of VI on the SNES mini, and it's fun, but I haven't felt an urge to keep playing it regularly.
I've beaten X but I kinda had to will myself through it.
On the other hand I've played through every mainline DQ before X several times each and loved all of them.

I think there's a difference between a group of heroes that star in one of the biggest movie franchises of all time and a character that's starred in exclusively in JRPGs that's mostly developed by another company.
Besides apparently it's Square and Nomura who have the final say on how Sora's represented and they'd be down with Sora in Smash. The real question is if Nintendo would allow Donald and Goofy even as minor cameos and if Disney would be bastards about them.
We dont want him to hate himself in addition to Final Fantasy
i don't care about it one bit. only played 4 on DS for a bit, and put it down. none of the other games have interested me either. i watched my brother play a bit of 10 and 12 on ps2 and it didn't look interesting there either.
There are lots of FF games. I like 6,7 and 9, and I enjoyed the remakes of 3 and 4 more or less, but post FF post 9 are games that I don't enjoy that much.
I just started playing the Dragon Quest series and I'm already in love! I beat DQ1 and made it part way through 2 thus far. I think I just find the art, music, and gameplay more satisfying than anything in a Final Fantasy game.

If Sora made it, which i firmly believe he wont, i'd love the GBA chain of memories version of Trinity Limit to be his final smash.
If he made it, there is no way Traverse Town wouldn't be his Stage and stacking the song roster without non disney songs would be easy.

Now that we are not even pretending this thread is about direct, I'm happy to report that Okami has exceeded my wildest expectations. Boy, did things get dark fast in this game.
I'll probably stay up tonight to finish it. This is one of the few games I can call a true masterpiece.

In addition to the previously-leaked Final Fantasy XIII announcements, please also be excited for the resurrection of the unreleased Final Fantasy XII Fortress gameplay elements in the brand new twin Final Fantasy XIII spinoff tower defense games Final Fantasy XIII: Greased Lightning & Forlorn Hope for Nintendo 3DS.
I need to replay it soon, I remember being really happy with the game a few years ago, and I want to know if I'll like it the same now.

Oh wow! didn't even know that existed and also lmao at basically every Mônica game being a pallete swap of another, wish that someone would pay a team like Lizardcube to make a unique Mônica game.
But anyway it's perfect then, she is already coming to the Switch so Mônica Cafaggi version for Smash!
I finished it yesterday, it was trully wonderful, I really liked the use of the brushes, despite almost all the battles were quite simple.
About finishing it tonight... well... I don't know.
Mainly this thread is essential smash thread as well. It's more peaceful over there now since this thread took all crazies with them :P
