2 at the time, but upon replaying the original trilogy, my ranking might be a little different. I know it's not a popular opinion, but I think 2 actually may have the worst story in the series, and for a series with such a narrative focus, I think it's detrimental to the experience. I also think the way melee combat/stealth was incorporated into the game was not very well balanced with the gunplay, which was fixed in the subsequent games. 1 was arguably better from a gameplay perspective because it was just a shooter with no stealth mechanics and was properly balanced for just being a shooter, if that makes sense. 2 was by far the most influential on both this series future as well as gaming, but I prefer the refinement of the sequels that came after it.

At this point I think I'm 3 > 4 > 1 > 2 > LL. I really do love them all, but 3's story hits really hard. It is Hennig's finest work imo. 3 would have been at the bottom until I replayed them all recently...and now it's at the top. Funny how time can change a persons perspective so much.

1. Uncharted 2
2. Uncharted 4
3. Uncharted: Lost Legacy

(Position 2 and 3 are switching all the time. Both are amazing.)

Everybody, play 'Uncharted: The Lost Legacy' if you haven't already. It's fucking amazing!

Gonna have to go with 4. Playing through 4 the first time was quite the experience, cause i was so IN with the characters and story. Admittedly, I'm not in a hurry to play it again cause I already experienced the story. With LL I played it immediately again on crushing cause I wanted to jump back in again and experience it all over again. And 2 is the only one I've beaten multiple times with multiple play throughs. So now i'm not so sure anymore.

2.

4 was a bit of a bore it put me off the series, actually. I'm only now kinda feeling to play the Chloe one, but then I keep thinking back to 4 and get put off again.

For me it's a toss-up between 2 and Lost Legacy, although (call it recency bias if you like) I think LL just edges it. Great pacing, and the open-world part was quite refreshing for the series.

I still want to emphasise, given how some people feel about it, that I really like 3 and don't get the negativity towards it. 4 is good and its epilogue helps to elevate it, and 1 is... Yeah. Rough, but an interesting title as the origin of the series and a contrast compared to the improvements made in 2.

Not played Golden Abyss.

2 still has the best pacing in my eyes. The heist level is kinda eh but once you hit Nepal the game does not let up.

Hell yeah.

4 and then 3. 3 was my favorite before 4 came out. To me it had the best puzzles, locations, combat encounters, and story of the original 3. Subsequent replays have further solidified my opinion that it's better than 2.

4 is probably still fresh in people's minds and I haven't gone back to play 2 in a while but it's 2,4,3,1,LL

Uncharted 4 and it's not even close.

No stupid mystical powers for the villain, ability to stealth your way through sections, best villain overall, and the best locations.

I only wish Cutter was in it.

For me:

2=LL>4>3>1>GA

I replayed the HD collection right before 4 came out.

Uncharted 1 is a decent, fun game, but nothing spectacular. My opinion didn't change on a second play through.

Uncharted 2 was maybe my favorite game of the prior generation. It is one of the few games that I immediately re-played after my first completion. After replaying it last year it still holds a special place in my heart, but the beginning is a bit slow.

When 3 was released I was hugely disappointed in it. It just seemed unfinished and a lot of the story beats were glossed over or never played out to completion. The final set piece seemed somewhat like a rehash of 2's. It felt like with 3 that ND came up with a bunch of set pieces they wanted to show and then strung together a story to try and connect them. I will say that after replaying 3 last year I appreciate it quite a bit more, but I still feel like it was a step back from 2.

Uncharted 4 is great. The combat is better than ever, I just wish there was more of it. I didn't really care for Sam's character at all but overall I really liked the game.

LL was fantastic. It was perfectly paced, the gameplay was fantastic, and I loved the characters.

Golden Abyss was fun but ultimately forgettable.

Lost Legacy for sure, great mix of linear uncharted design with a neat open area as a pace changer, speaking of pace, this entry is also well paced.
Then it basically cribs the best holy shit set pieces from 2 and 4, jams them together for a dope endgame.

I feel bad for Uncharted 1. It's not my favorite one, but I feel like it gets a bad rap. It's not it's fault it was totally eclipsed. I actually really enjoy it's dedication to theme and place, I actually dislike the globe trotting element to 2 and 3 and actually appreciated how tight Lost Legacy was.

It's probably 2, although I don't think 3 is nearly as bad as everybody makes it out to be. I really enjoy parts of 3, especially the airplane set piece. 4 is great but its slow start makes it a chore to replay for me. Lost Legacy is really good but I love the Nathan Drake character.

Gotta go with Lost Legacy. It felt like a greatest hits of the series and I enjoyed having Chloe back with new characters like Sam & Nadine.

2 and 3 are like the pinnacle of the action piece set piece game that Uncharted does so well

So, this is tough for me because U4 is an odd game in the series. I've always said that U4 is simultaneously the best and worst game in the series. It has the best gameplay mechanics, but the least amount of combat scenarios. It has the best story, but the pacing is the worst in the series, and a lot of the cutscenes overstay their welcome, imo. When I look back on U2, everything was just right. The right amount of gameplay to cutscene ratio, its fun story, and its great MP (the best in the series).

2, it's still the bar to beat as far as action games go imo. Absolute perfect balance of action, puzzles and slower parts, with set-pieces that are rarely matched.

I was satisfied with the story wrapping up in 4. Amazing and rewarding bow on the ending. What a ride.

Haven't played 4 or Lost Legacy, but Uncharted 1 is the only one I've not only completed at least once, but twice, and the second time was after 2 and 3 were out so I wasn't starving for games or anything.

I don't dislike what I've played of 2 and 3, but I just can't take the time to complete them and when I finally want to get back in its like a year later and I want to restart.
