  • Fantasy Life Online (iOS, Android) - To be clear, this is out, and its appearance is for updates, as is common for mobile games at TGS
  • Inazuma Eleven Ares (PS4, Switch, iOS, Android)
  • Yo-kai Watch 4 (Switch)
  • Yo-kai Watch: Medal Wars (iOS, Android) - This game is made with Netmarble, a hugely successful Korean mobile developer, and will be formally unveiled at TGS

I guess we can expect the reveal of Yokai Watch 4 either in this Thursday's Direct or alongside this week's CoroCoro ?

Level-5 used to be one of the companies I'd get excited to hear the name of with every mention. Now there's only disappointment.

Dude, I would love an online Fantasy Life mobile game here in the U.S. Have they flirted with the idea of bringing it over at all?

I just got a Galaxy S9+ and I'm dying for some newer games to play. Already pre-registered for Dragalia Lost.

I don't get some of the reactions here. They released Ni No Kuni 2 earlier this year and are now showing off the first HD games of two of their biggest franchises. What else would you possibly expect?

That Megaton game, I guess, but that's obviously not their priority right now.

I'm not anti-mobile gaming but seeing Fantasy Life as a mobile only game sucks. The first one was amazing. One of the comfiest Level-5 games I've played.

They brought over Yo-Kai Watch Puni Puni (as Yo-Kai Watch Wibble Wobble), so I don't think it's off the table, but nothing is currently announced. It only came out in Japan a short while ago.

Still burns that fantasy life turned into a mobile game.

Much as I got a lot of playtime out of the 3DS game, I can definitely see how they could conclude it's a better fit for mobile than switch.

They're probably having a long think about what the future of the layton franchise is. Going mobile didn't reinvigorate sales that much, neither did changing protagonists to Katrielle (it being a worse game in most ways didn't help...), neither did the AA crossover, and the sales were dropping pretty hard after Unwound Future/Lost Future.

The unfortunate passing of the original Puzzle designer, Akira Tago in 2016 at the ripe old age of 90, doesn't help either.

Where is the YW1-port for iOS? Also, wasn't Snack World supposed to come to mobile as well?

I believe Dark Cloud is Sony's event tier announcement,
It's a Sony's IP, not Level 5's.

No info on Nino Kuni 2 adventure DLC? Isn't that a lil odd since it suppose to release end of this year?

Why can't they bring Professor Layton back for another game?

Why can't they bring Professor Layton back for another game?

They can but if it just continues the significant sales drop with each title after 3, there's probably no point for them.

There's not much reason to assume just bringing the Professor back will do anything to get sales off the downward trend.

I've always been curious about the yokai watch games. Excited to see it on switch and hopefully play it

Curious about Yokai Watch 4 but there's still so many games yet to come out in the west in that series. Who knows what will happen with the rest of the 3DS entries at this point.
I wonder if a Snack World Gold localization is still a possibility, I really want to play that one. Looks like a fun colorful big action jrpg. As time has passed since the Japanese release my hope for a western release has dimmed.
