Are we even sure the Direct actually existed?
It's pretty much confirmed by insiders that it's on Thursday

Nice troll attempt, but we already got a leak by a ' leaker' who has leaked the previous couple of direct dates that it'll be this thursday.

Would Nintendo truly want to face the backlash they would revive for cancelling the direct due to a Japanese natural disaster, and then rescheduling it during an American one? A hurricane is about to abolish three states. Nintendo made the right call and cancelled the Direct last week out of respect for the earthquake victims and their families. Because of that, scheduling it after this hurricane obliterates part of America seems like a slap in the face to the hurricane victims and their families.

I'm not up to date with the anime, but I read a lot of the manga, so maybe I already saw what you're talking about and it didn't change my opinion about him much? Not sure. I should start reading/watching it again, but while not disliking it, I kinda lost my interest in the story.
I mean I've read the manga and I still hate him.
Fair enough, I used to hate Bakugo too so I can understand why someone wouldn't like him but for me his character development has turned him around

Can we make it to a million before the date is officially announced?

Yes we see the irony in it. It is what it is

There's not going to be a backlash.

I haven't kept up with this much since it was first delayed, but wasn't there a rumor (and possibly some leaked footage) that the direct featured imagery/scenes depicting post-earthquake devastation? Seems like showing that right after an earthquake ravaged your country would be in significantly more bad taste than showing it after any other type of natural disaster.

On another note, I'm sure the hurricane victims are really worried about when Nintendo airs their direct. If that is their biggest concern then I'd say the hurricane didn't really affect them that much.

By the time the Direct comes out Isaac will have been replaced by Matthew, Geno will have been eaten by termites, and Skull Kid will have become Skull Man.

The general public has no idea what Nintendo Directs are. There would be zero backlash if they announced the Direct today or if they dropped it on Thursday.

I imagine the thing that would have been in poor taste originally has been excised.

I hope that's not true, because if that is the case then Nintendo didn't truly delay the direct out of genuine respect for the victims but rather to avoid a bad PR move due to a specific content of the direct. Which is absolutely not the same thing.
