I think so too, but after my bad experience with the 6P I am a bit gun-shy now with flagship phones
What are the chances Google still goes with Verizon as the exclusive carrier for the new pixels?
The G7 is also considered a flagship.I think so too, but after my bad experience with the 6P I am a bit gun-shy now with flagship phones
I see. Thanks. It's not public knowledge. Some Verizon management spilled the beans on Reddit quite a while back.
Google is following Apples footsteps. It was the same with the iPhone/ATT.
Ok, decision time:
I have a 6P that just started the shut-off at 15% BS. I am with Fi and their deal on the 64GB LG G7 ThinQ is pretty good at $450. I am wondering whether anyone has spent time with it and whether they would recommend that trim for a heavy user who does a fair share of rooting and someone who sticks with their phone at least 2yrs
Grab the One Plus 6. Giant rooting community and a very light but very customize-able skin. Hell, even the developers encourage you to beta test their version of Pie right now.Ok, decision time:

Coming from the G2, G4 and G6 I'm done with LG and their slow updates. Their skin has progressively gotten worse also and ends up very slow after some time.
I don't want to lose carrier switching with Fi, otherwise I would have already bought the OnePlus 6Get a razor phone for $400.
I had one and it performs as good as XZ2 premium except for the camera.
POCOPHONEIf y'all had a budget of $300 and needed an android phone what would you get? I want something with a big screen. Been looking at the Xiaomi Redmi 5 plus.
Open to suggestions
Uh you realize it's an LG phone right?I meant price-wise. But at $600 the V35 seems like a decent deal, I am just being ireationally fearful about the battery and processor after the debacle with Huwai and Google
I have zero experience with LG since my Chocolate II slider. It sounds like LG flagships just aren't worth the trouble
Well that's a different story. If you insist being on Fi, you are handcuffing yourself.I have zero experience with LG since my Chocolate II slider. It sounds like LG flagships just aren't worth the trouble

nothing really.Ultrasonic 3rd gen UD FPRs are gonna be insane compared to the optical ones. Speaking of optical sensors, I am curious about one piece of their tech. For them to operate, that specfic portion of the screen is minutely transparent. What's stoppjng them from using that transparency alongside screen dimming for UD front facing cameras?
I'm gifting my S8 Plus to my son and getting this phone if it is priced less than $600.
One of the big advantages of having Android Oreo and over is having LDAC, so just get rid of the dongle altogether.
I grabbed the Huawei P20 instead of the Galaxy S8 (both phones were at the same price brand new)
I wanted the best camera. Did I make a mistake?
Nothing a bit of software can't fix. What I mean, latency doesn't matter in practical use for most use cases. Nobody will really care if their music starts a couple ms too late (which is also why it won't matter for the average dongle user, either). The only times most people in general use will notice it is if there's a mismatch between audio and video, right? And as long as the Pixel is configured to match the playback with the latency, all should be good regardless of latency value.
Every early beta breaks the audio/video sync in Bluetooth. It's like clockwork.
I imagine the latency is for calls and talking over someone, because otherwise, watching video or listening to music is the same as with a wire.
P20 not pro nor Lite.Pro is the one with the 3 camera setup right? Did you get the right one
It isn't. Very few Android devices support Bluetooth 5.0, and without that (unlike Airpods) the Android handset have to send the stream to one earbud, and then that earbud has to forward the signal to the other earbud. This often results in more than a second of latency and wrecks watching video.
There are fully wireless Bluetooth headphones that manage to avoid the latency.Oh, I get you now. So I don't see this effect because I use a full set of cans where left and right and wired together rather than separate buds. I didn't know that latency issue was a thing and that's crazy.
I think sales will double again to 8 million but assume that you think they will hit at least 6 -7.
Since they have Foxconn now I see shortages to be less of an issue around launch of the Pixel 3.
Verizon and Best Buy ran way more promotions for the 2 than the 1. Walmart and Target actually displayed Pixel 2 when Pixel 1 wasn't even carried in stores. I expect these trends to just accelerate.
Things should get interesting once the Pixel Verizon exclusive contract is up after the Pixel 3.
I was dangerously close to getting the V30 last year, but I resisted and just waited for the S9+.

I was impressed by the cinematographer features on the camera and wide angle abilities
I bought the v30 and sold it after a couple of days. Phone was terrible. Big contrast to the awesome V20.
What'd you think of the XZ Premium? I returned mine in a day...it's not a good phoneThe screen is muddy and grainy. It had the worst front facing camera I've ever seen, picture looked like it had a Shrek filter on permanently. UI was pretty bad too....
I thought the V20 was awesome, the v30 was just meh...
It was a battle between the XZ premium, Razer phone and the v30. The v30 was the first to go.

If someone could help me out with a question, what's the deal with having apps on the SD card on Android? Does every device with Android One allow it or is it on a case by case basis? Does Oreo not allow this at all? I find a lot of conflicting information tbh. I was under the impression you could do it with any Android One, but now I'm looking at Nokia 6.1 for my gf and it seems I can't? Android is so fucking confusing,
Because you get more space for apps? I mean, I'm sure 32 GB (if I get the Nokia 6.1 for example) might be enough for a lot of apps, but it fills up.Why do you want to put apps on an SD card? I get movies and music but why apps. Just get a phone with a normal amount of storage.
