SMD was and is the perfect example of being a bad loser. Instead of apologizing to his viewers after the Switch was announced and he proven wrong he turned into a salty anti-Nintendo monster. Remember when he tried to tell everyone last year that Sony is going to announce a new handheld at TGS and Nintendo fans should start worrying? Good times.
Anyways back on topic: 1h and 23m till announcement. Maybe...
Hoo boy, I remember the runup to the NX reveal. It sure was fun seeing the "WSJ, Eurogamer, and MCV are all wrong, it's totally a traditional home console more powerful than PS4" crowd get owned.

IIRC, it was part of the discussion on NeoGaf back in the days. There were so many strange things surrounding that leak, like he was a very small youtuber that got Nintendo's full internal marketing strategy for 2016 forwarded to him, and the reasons that he stated (that someone at Nintendo sent it) didn't sound reasonable, and so on. Don't have the discussion link though, so take it with a grain of salt.
i really hope so. i'm so tired of this bullshit thread and i can't stop coming here.

I don't know the full story and I don't know how much is confirmed but several insiders have basically suggested that Nintendo's lawyers contacted him (SMD) after that big marketing schedule leak and asked him to tell them who his source at NOA was. SMD had no actual obligation to tell them, and he wasn't breaking any sort of law distributing that information, so he should've protected his source like any journalist would have done. But he's not a journalist, so he just gave up the personal info of that source and that source was then fired (or possibly worse (fined/sued not murdered by ninjas)).
Sorry to tell you guys, but I've heard from multiple posters on this forum that the direct was canceled and Nintendo is in fact, doomed.
