Yeah, great work as usual. Signed up.

Hopefully every weekend but since F1 is back on there may be a couple when the highlights are on when we are due to race. That's OK though.

Aston Martin for me too.

Great work. Looking forward to this. Week 2 is the only week I'll have to change a shift to make the race so with a bit of luck I can make every race. Still undecided as to which cars I'll be driving!

I am thinking about buying GTS, do these races you guy do actually happen where you all race at the same time, or are they like time trials where you race against ghosts?

Sorry, if that's a n00b question, just curious.

I think I've now had a quick go (on the Soft tyres) in every GR3 car with the exception of Aston and Peugeot so far.

I think it's going to be one of Mercedes/Jaguar/BMW/Hyundai for me.

Now I need to see how all the cars behave over the course of a longer stint on the hard tyres.

Awesome work GHG. I'll be sure to sign up.

Whilst having a look last night at the season calendar I had a little brainwave... It probably won't be possible for this season, but perhaps maybe at the end or, maybe planned into the next season you could have 'Invitational' events. These could be one off races such as: GR.1 Endurance at Le Mans, Italian Classics at Monza, GTR class Sprint at Suzuka etc.
These could be plopped into the middle of a season or the end of a season and anyone could be eligible to sign up. By doing this, you could get new players into the fold and promote the GT-Era League at the same time. It would also work nicely for those people who can't commit to a full season and can only make the odd few races. Maybe an annual GT-Era Le Mans endurance invitational race could be as auspicious as the real thing!

This isn't a bad idea at all. I've toyed with the idea of running events on a few random Friday or Saturday nights before (whenever I'd be available on those nights basically) . It just depends on how many people would be available...

They are all cutting (or extending) T1. The track limits there are a bit broken and I hope we don't see people here abusing them when we race there.

Fifanutz 1:29's on the soft tire.

I'm having a hard time understanding the flow of this track without a Course Challenge available. Did some laps tonight in the Ferrari Gr.3 on RSS and my best was a terrible 1:33. Have a hard time maintaining much speed on some of those turns without going off track. I guess I'll have to download some replays.

Am not getting much practice in, only because there are so many games I am playing right now!

Am just going to go with my favourite manufacturer and go with Honda, have no idea where they stand in the "meta" right now.

You don't see many people using them so no idea where Honda stands really.

I'm in the same situation, mad busy with work and splitting my time between Firewall and Spider-Man means I'm way less prepared than last season.

Given the concerns some of us had last season about people getting a bit too ambitious, I'd be willing to try it and see if that helps. My guess is that light damage won't really change the dynamics of the races much. But I'm fine either way.

Oh now. Balls! Hope everything is OK fella.

GHG I'd like to try Heavy Damage too, if possible. Will take light damage though if everyone else thinks it's a bit too much.

Hmm...If everyone chimes in and says they are happy with heavy damage then I'll change it. If not then let's see how it goes. If we find the setting needs to be stepped up for the second race then it will be easy to do so.

Just got back from abroad and signed up! Thanks for the reminder.

Hey dude I can't seem to find you on PSN, I've just sent you a PM.

I'm happy to go Heavy damage if we think it'll clean things up a bit. Hope it's not too intimidating for the new guys

Just been having a think about which of all our races when heavy damage might have made a difference. I can't think of any time when anyone has hit me hard enough to cause heavy damage, there was my infamous collision with Moley at brands that would have invoked it (fair enough for me, not so much Moley), and there was my off at Blue Moon on the first lap which would have forced me to pit and change my strategy... which would've been interesting to have to adapt to. Thinking about it I'm quite happy to go with heavy damage and see how it works out :-)

Sorry GHG, didn't see the notification (I only see mentions if I'm browsing on mobile, not sure why). Really like the new format but I fear I'm still gonna lag, so I'd rather not participate.
Looking forward to the replays though!

Don't be silly, get involved!

The lag has never been an issue on my end.

No really, I'm not comfortable racing like that. Definitely give priority to the other guys mentioned above (might wanna hit them up directly in case they have my same problem!)

Anyone else want to tell us what manufacturer they're going with? I know Jambo and Fifanutz's choice but no one else so far... I might go with Citroen as I had a lot of success with them in the past, I'm definitely not doing Lexus as although the GR4 is good I just found the GR3 too slow to compete.

Hyundai for me. Never actually raced with a Hyundai in sport mode but it was one of the cars I enjoyed driving most when I was trying everything out.

Naturally aspirated, short wheelbase, what's not to love!

Just a heads up if you are new to the league - we often run softer tyres than you get in the official events so tyre wear can have a much more pronounced effect - make sure you do some testing with your chosen cars with the tyre and fuel usage settings on rather than just time trials as the handling of some of the cars can change drastically when the tyres start to go...

CAVEAT: As usual, except for me. Ha. I normally run Hard tyres unless the opportunity arises whereby I can use a softer compound because the final stint is a short sprint. But yeah, best to do a little testing.

I did some yesterday and found two stints of Hard compound tyres will get me to the end OK. I tried Medium for the last 20 minute stint and they fell off pretty badly.

Don't forget we're starting with 50ltrs fuel so you may wanna do your opening stint on a softer compound
