Bandai Namco has announced Tales of Crestoria, a brand new entry in the Tales of RPG series for smartphones.

Weekly Famitsu this week has the first official preview of the game, revealing its crime-burdened protagonist and the story of the life he lives for the things that are important to him. The magazine also has comments from Yasutaka Nakata and Kamikaze Douga, who were in charge of the protagonist visual and concept teaser, a message from producer Tomomi Tagawa, and more.

Lol, it depends. They'll call something mainline, then retract that when the game isn't received well, like Tales of Tempest on DS.

Don't think they've called a mobile title mainline yet though, so probably not.

On Famitsu interview of Vesperia Remaster, they also a tease a Tales of title for home consoles, so this game doesn't mean that they will be console only.

Like 10+ years ago, Bamco released a lot of Tales of games for phones in Japan with their own story and characters.
