Pokémon is in a weird spot for boss speculation because most of the big boi legendaries are already Poké Ball summons or appear in stages, and it'd be kinda weird for them to do double duty

Smash Bros. doesn't necessarily use final bosses for its own boss fights - Porky is a penultimate boss in his games, Rayquaza is an optional fight, Ridley isn't usually a final boss, Petey Piranha and Metal Face aren't final bosses either, nor is the Yellow Devil, though Dark Emperor is one

Other than Minecraft getting in, this is the safest leak I've seen.

- Isabelle = Duh (and doesn't say if she's an echo or not...)
The only thing that's weird about that leak is that it still won't tell us the Square rep, Pokemon rep, but it can name Isabelle and a Minecraft character which would probably be Steve.

This person has a bigger leak with the GBF fighting game by ASW, by the way. His Smash info seems pretty uninteresting in comparison to that legit megaton.
He got all the Samurai Spirits stuff right and made big claims regarding ASW and Cygames.
Do you have a link to what he originally leaked? Because a Samurai Showdown given previous SNK interviews and even the collab with Granblue Fantasy made it clear that SNK was quite proactive with the IP. UE4 which is now adopted by lots of japanese developers including Arc System Works it's not that much of a stretch either.
How does that mean he's got knowledge on Nintendo tho? Unless he's some master of all Fighting Game knowledge, I don't see how all that gets taken to one person.

Because sometimes it feels like some of these leakers just repeat the same stuff that other leakers and fans theorizes about.
And conversely Verg appears to be right about Smash but has been wrong about shit-tons of stuff before.

To be fair, one character is actually relevant to gaming as a whole, and the other hasn't had a great game in nearly two decades. Microsoft would much, much rather promote Minecraft than a dead franchise.

I don't see Isabelle or Minecraft character - assuming that's the playable character that is claimed to be playable - doing much for me, but if Sakurai proves me wrong, can't be disappointed. That said, with Simon, Richter and K. Rool I don't really see need to complain if that would be all. Not that I don't have more wishes (Rayman?), but that's cool enough. Modes, now that can backfire.
