Mick Schumacher's 2nd season in F3 has recently started to go very well. He won the 1st race at the Nürburgring today, and is on pole for both the two races tomorrow. He's 2nd in the championship now as well.

Yeah but out of the top 4 he's the only one who did a full season of F3 before.

Nah, I'd say one of the main reasons FE exists is to drive racing development of EV PUs with a long term view of seeing them end up in F1.

Once F1 goes with electric power units, FE will cease to exist.

That's ludicrous. You're aware Formula E is a completely separate company? One that currently has a value of something like 600 million euros and several heavyweight owners (Liberty also has a minority interest). Exactly why would they let someone take over their market and put themselves out of business?

I still think his future is outside the F1 ladder. Probably DTM or sportscars, but good to see him improving

If Bruno Senna can make it to F1 I'm sure Mick Schumacher will as well. It will probably need an expanded grid after the the rules change in 2021 for it to happen however.

600 million euros is absolute peanuts when it comes to top line motorsports.

That's not really true. It's about 10% of F1, and otherwise I'm guessing only Nascar is significantly more valuable? It's not something the owners are going to give up willingly anyway.

By the time F1 would be interested, which would be another decade at least, if FE's growth continues it's value would be significantly higher.

Fenati in Moto2 thought it was a good idea to get payback on his opponent who pushed him off earlier by going side-by-side and grabbing his brake, almost making him fall off the bike. What the fuck. Black flagged unsurprisingly.

Fenati got a two race ban (not official yet).

He's a fucktard who is probably going to be blackballed from the paddock. He's had previous discipline issues.

Have you guys watched Nicos podcast?

He talks A LOT.. Would be nice if he didn't interrupt or try to finish Bernie's sentences ... But if you can watch through that, bernie has some nice things to share.. He had few things to say about some. Drivers towards the end, and he thinks Seb is gonna win it this year

Dammit that Moto2 pilot... that's attempted murder right there...
the guy has to be heavy on cocaine or have a testicle escaped from a sack instead of a brain for testosterone to run so heavily in his bloodstream.

Bernie can be a hard interview with short answers, but Rosberg did talk too much. He said on Twitter that Lewis is scheuled next, which will be great to see.

well damn I hope Lewis agrees to the interview. I hope they can be friends again at least Rosberg seems to think that way too.

I think the media always makes too big a deal over F1 drivers falling out, you can't really be friends in such an intensely competitive environment. Lewis has stated in the past that him and Alonso are cool with one another, and that situation was really toxic.

I think Alonso always hated Dennis more than Hamilton, but both drivers didn't exactly handle that situation the best. But yeah if that can be patched up then I think whatever went on between Nico and Lewis could be.

Berniespeak has always been doublespeak; no interest in anything he says.

Yeah, I'm certain that he's a genuinely interesting person (you don't get to where he is or achieve the things he's achieved and not have some stories to tell), but I swear to god he's the most boring person ever when being interviewed. He just fumbles around and basically says nothing; it's all smokescreen and riddles with Bernie.

Would love it if Hamilton agreed to be interviewed by Rosberg though.

He csn teach Red Bulls up and coming Ticktum some tricks then.

In 2015, Ticktum graduated to MSA Formula with Fortec Motorsport.[2] He led the early rounds of the Championship, until infamous incident at Silverstone, where he overtook 10 cars during a safety-car period and deliberately crashed into Ricky Collard, saw him receive a two-year ban from motorsport. This included a suspended ban for the second year.

I'm watching those seasons on the F1 TV archive right now and in 2008 Alonso straight up said he didn't think that McLaren deserved to win a championship after what happened in 2007. I don't think he held that kind of grudge against Lewis in particular.

That checks out. He hated that team, I think his main gripe if I'm not mistaken is that the team never backed him as the #1 driver or something? McLaren is probably never getting a Constructors Championship again, which is crazy looking at the legacy.

McLaren didn't deserve to run that year after they built their entire campaign (car, strategies, FIA protests, etc.) around the fact they illegally obtained and used vital info on their main opponent. Having them end up with either trophy would have been disgusting tbh. They were found guilty and they were lucky enough to race to begin with, luckily for them FIA preferred to preserve the spectacle (like a few years ago in MotoGP where instead of banning Rossi they just put him at the back of the grid), but if they ended up with a trophy or two it would have been crazy.

I just realized that the rider he attacked is on the team he was supposed to go to next year. It would have been hard enough to convince a third team that he won't pull shit like this, the guy actively tried to murder their own rider. That sure will help him get the seat in 2019, lmao.

"actively tried to murder" is just a tad OTT.

Well, maybe? If I sit next to you in a car and swerve your wheel towards a tree while we're running at 100kph, you could argue I wasn't actively trying to kill you, but it could have easily resulted in that. FEnati pressed this guy's brakes at almost 220kph, the consequences could have been horrible. Good thing Manzi noticed the hand in time so he could slightly react, otherwise it would have been a harsher story.

This if I where the one choosing his punishment I wouldn't settle for anything less than a life long ban.

At the risk of sending this thread even more CSI, to say "murder" seriously you have to apply intent. Fenati is a fucking mong but I doubt he tried to knowingly kill a rider.

He's paying the price for a massive mistake. He had his contract for 2019 terminated, and today he was sacked by his current team. It's likely after being booted out of the VR46 squad that he'll never race in this specific paddock again, and rightly so.
