So I'm considering dropping £150 on a crazy collectors edition for the 30th anniversary of one of my favourite albums ever, Metallica's bassless wonder "...And Justice For All" and I'm torn so I'm asking you all have you ever dropped crazy money on something, anything, and it's been awesome? Because God only knows how many awful collectors editions of games we own. But I'm asking for CDs, Vinyls, DVDs, anything pricey and unique!

For me, i'm a golfer and own some unique pieces. I have a Nike Method 006 which is 1/1000 and was the exact same model played by Rory McIlroy. Also have a Scotty Cameron bag and headcovers set which I believe are less than ten strong here in the UK, it always gets admiring glances.

Throw the collectors editions at me!

I really like Persona 3. I have a Thanatos figure too but I put that back in its case ages ago when I renovated my room and didn't want to deal with putting all the parts back together.

I also have a bunch of FFXIV merch, but don't have screenshots on hand. I don't have as much money to spend on figures and merch anymore, I'd have alot more merch for all the anime and games I love otherwise.

Though not crazy pricing, I have the Tool Salival package. Its a live cd and music video DVD in a really cool package. They run from $60 and up, last I checked.
And I have a monstrous collection of random Dennis Rodman stuff from when I was younger. Basketball cards, coins, plaques, clothes, books and toys all in a giant MTV Rodman duffle bag. I've considered trying to get a bottle of his vodka to add to it, lol.
I would love to share photos but its all in storage.

I have the special edition of Ladies and Gentlemen we are Floating in Space by Spiritualised that where each track is on a mini CD in a package designed to look like a sheet of medication. It's super cool.

Not my pic but this is it:

Factory sealed Ocarina of Time

That's freaking cool! I love little time capsules like that.

I have a few first print runs of books and firearms in the centennial club. My favorites are a copy of Now it Can Be Told by Sir Philip Gibbs from 1920 in very good condition, and a complete, original Imperial German DWM P08 Luger issued in 1915 with beautiful bluing and strawing(the leaf springs still have their original fire blued finish).

Aside from the obvious Amiibos I collect all of the 4" and 6" World of Nintendo figures by Jakks.

world-of-nintendo-figures-straight-from-the-game-large-10.jpg

Multiply the figures in that commercial still by at least 2 if not 3 at this point.

I also own 19 of these 6" World of Nintendo squishy Metroids.

I own Uncanny X-Men #1. I paid about 2k for it. I have a few landmark comics but that's my favorite. It's awesome and I'm very happy about having it.

My signed Deshaun Watson Clemson mini helmet...

This one may be my main favorite though. I wrote to Patrick Osbourne, the director of the Disney short film "Feast" and told him the story of the issues we had with our Boston Terrier, how we rescued her, and so on and also sent a picture of our BT. He sent me multiple signed images back where he drew custom art, and also sent me this really limited print and at the bottom he drew the picture of our dog that I sent him, and also sent a hand written letter and other stuff. It was super cool of him...

Not super unique, but I take a strange sense of pride in my (incomplete) Universal Century Gundam blu ray collection. Shit is expensive but it's rewarding to see an entire shelf worth of Gundam goodness.

Unfortunately its all packed away in a box right now so I can't take a picture to show it off.

I used to have the first Mini Museum, kinda regret selling it but I made out like a bandit.

Other than that it's probably some limited edition vinyl, White 2nd Anniversary Xbox, or Panasonic Gamecube.

Edit: Totally forgot, its def Killer7 signed by Suda.

19! I Was thinking of getting one but couldn't figure out where to put it that thing is pretty big do you have them all on display?

No. They're in storage along with most of my collectibles and media. I'm only breaking out most of my stuff when I finally buy a house.

My original plan when I only got 6 for the regular $15 price was to use some as makeshift bookends on shelves along with one among regular World of Nintendo stuff. But as I got a ton more with Toys R Us closing (8 $6 from one Toys R Us alone) I decided to just have my main hobby room be "infested" with them. Like on top of shelves, furniture, speakers, other electronics, etc. They're also not super big. Only 6" which is big enough to see from several feet away.

I've got a few props from Mystery Science Theater 3000 including Mothra here from the season 2 episode Godzilla vs. The Sea Monster. I paid a ridiculous amount for basically a few dollars of scraps hot glued together and it's large and difficult to display but I absolutely love it. Right now it's sitting on my little temporary MST3K shrine.

My other favorite is the movie poster signed by the cast and writers.

Oh, another one of my favorites in my collection are my signed Patricia Gozzi photos and Blu-ray covers. Most of you likely wont care about this one at all, but it means a great deal to me.

She was the star of a number of French films in the 60s and 70s. Mainly known for" Sundays and Cybele" and "Rapture". One was released by Twilight Time and the other through Criterion. I was able to track her down a few years ago and made contact with family, and ended up getting explicit permission to send items to her in France to sign and for her to mail them back to me. I was made to promise that I would never reveal her whereabouts or address with any other fans. She does not sign autographs at all and made a huge one time exception for me only because she respected the efforts I made. I have never been able to find any other items signed by her, almost none exist, and I have seven of them - the two BD cases and five photographs. She also sent me two private personal photos to show me what meant the most to her after retiring from acting many years ago, images of her in current day with her family.

A copy of singer JoJo's demo CD that she signed for me. I bought it over 10 years ago and she signed it after a performance 7 years ago. I haven't seen another copy sell since I bought mine.

I went to the rare book store in the Venetian in Las Vegas. I can't beliece the prices on those books. First prints of certain books are insane. They had a first print copy of Fahrenheit 451 for something like 10k.

And one that's not really a retail product, but that is still really special to me, is my autographed MLP Season 2 poster. I've got a good chunk of the cast on there. I really need to move it out from behind that Starscream, but I hate messing with hanging pictures.

It's not what you're talking about but I collect minerals, fossils, and metals. My favorite is a bismuth crystal that I plan to eventually turn into a pendant. I also have raw amethysts and plenty of quartz pieces I'm fond of and just a couple uncut sapphires.

In terms of actual collectibles I have quite a few dragon age plushies and statues, and a letter opener, some kingdom hearts keychains and boxes i got with collectors editions, and the dead mans chest collectors edition of the first four pirates of the Caribbean movies.
Ill see if I can dig some stuff out later for pictures.

I'd say this def counts and is very cool. My mother is into stuff like that and has gifted me a few smaller crystals and such. Wish I could remember the name of the orange ones she keeps giving me are called. I know nothing about them, but I quite like them. I've also got a buddy in Colorado who is always hiking and looking for crystals, was always jealous of him.

Edit: Citrine! Thats what she keeps giving me. The pharmacist at Walmart told her that if I keep a small one in my pocket it will help with my stomach issues. Which I thought was kinda scary, but whatever.

Well i was going to post some impressive comics I have, but that AF15 up there is something I can't beat. I've got some early Fantastic Four books and some pretty cool DC stuff as well.

I have some somewhat rare jazz records, too.

It's not of much monetary value I suppose, but I have a signed copy of Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck I cherish.

It is *not* kept in wraps, but read many many times, just like mr. Rosa would want.

We also have one of the original (unapplied) prosthetic mask pieces from season 2, it says "host" written in pencil on the inside.
Unfortunately that's in a box somewhere, hopefully it's doing OK...
