We have seen third-party Xbox exclusives hit Steam, but not first-party ones, yeah? So this will stay buried in the Win Store, I feel like.
Not that I really care, the newer Halo titles look boring. I might buy the MC collection, though, if that ever drops.

Zoo Tycoon is Microsoft-owned, and those Disney games coming in a few weeks are Microsoft-published as well.

Looking at the games I played so far here's my early GotY list-

God of War 2018
Yakuza 6
Infinos Gaiden
Iconoclasts
Ys 4: MoC
Final Fantasy XII Steam ver. (this I think counts? If Ys 4 would, then so should this)
Chuchel
Batman: The Enemy Within (Final episode released in 2018 and I count it based on that)
Ni no Kuni 2
Fe
Omensight
Super Dangerous Dungeons
Unavowed

DLC of the Year: Encore DLC for Sonic Mania

Course some titles would be moved out of my top 10, but we're still months away til end of the year and there are various other titles I look forward to play~

Detroit, Spider-Man, TWD S04 and Donut County for me. Not been too great of a year thus far.

Unless Eitr is planned for a 2018 release, the inclusion of its main character in this game is quite surprising

Seems like it's called WHAT THE GOLF? and was crowdfunded on fig earlier this year.

Never heard of it before now, seems cool.

I know this is going to sound really stupid and not matter to most people but I'm kind of souring on Shadow of the Tomb Raider before it even comes out. I preordered the Croft Edition because I wanted to have all the DLC apps for the game on Steam, and now they're doing a ton of DLC resource packs given away through various promotions and it's basically impossible to get all of them. I'm sure that they won't have a big impact in the game but from a OCD collector standpoint it really sucks.

So humble gives region locked overwatch keys but it is a global play game on battle net.

Meaning you can just switch regions in app or in-game.

I don't think I'll be able to get a top 5 let alone 10 at this rate lol. I have god of war and kiwami 2 on mine so far. Still haven't played enough of Spiderman to make a judgement, but I'm enjoying that quite a bit so far.

This has been a crazy weak year though. Probably the worst since 2014.

Well I beat the main storyline for Dying Light and found a easter egg thing in it which is kind of hilarious

Man... that bounty. I never got anywhere near completing it.

I tried a few times to do it with captain one shots baseball bat to break legs and I just either killed everything by accident or all of them ate my face so I stopped caring about it until I'd start up my game and have it selected to be tracked and get automagically teleported there so I'd try again

Halo 5 SP is pretty good but if you've never played Halo before there are defo better ones to start out with (like 1 and 3).

You know, whenever you think about VVVVVV you think about how good the music is.
But then when you play it, you think about how it's not just good, it's amazing.
That's my 7am deep thought for the coming day.

Shameful performance really, so many deaths. I really feel my tv lag in a games like this, it sucks ass.
Didn't go out of my way to get the trinkets this time, I've gotten them all twice, that's enough to last me a lifetime.

Any particular reason why?
Just a preference, I like them better that way. Left analog stick for movement when I see the character just feels better as far as I'm concerned.

tried this game i bought at some sale called troubleshooter, it's like a budget xcom game if xcom had hero units and worrying korean mmo style mechanics

the first part i like quite a bit, it kind of feels more like a front mission game than xcom, since cover is nowhere near as important and you're mostly managing abilities and cooldowns and such, and it's also way lower stakes since no one can really die so i quite like that. there's no real base building but you can upgrade your characters with equipment and skills, and the skill system is actually really similar to front mission 3 in that you sort of 'steal' skills from the bad guys you defeat. map screen so far has only been a list of story missions but there's a lot of areas you can clear so it may get a bit more open ended later

i also really like the character designs (racoon lady is really fun) and while the translation is pretty rough, the game has a charm to it. there's an evil cult of mask wearing batman criminals that loves spoons for some reason that probably didn't survive translation, there's a guy that speaks really funny english and A LOT of hot anime dudes. there's also some decision making that i don't know how much it affects the story but it's fun to have

then there's the whole korean mmo thingie. like no two ways about it, this game is an mmo in disguise. despite not having any multiplayer i can think, there's a classic mmo chat menu on the bottom left corner, you log into a server when you start the game and it's also always online (which for some people this is super annoying because fuck if i know). there's also some red flag systems like exhaustion (which hasn't been a problem for me yet but still), identifying loot, daily rewards, respecs that cost money, that kind of stuff. the game also feels quite grindy, while all missions i've played have story content which is quite nice, they've mostly featured a small number of enemies and there's a feeling of leveling sameyness that a game like xcom which is always providing with new things to do doesn't have

it is fun tho, i really like this hero style system where you're just crushing baddies with super moves, and it's an early access game so a lot of things that look rough (translation, UI, tutorialization) will probably get improved, but they also will probably put a price on those mmo things that are not yet sold for real money and i can't think of a single korean mmo game i've ever played that wasn't negatively affected by this f2p shit

anyways, cool game

I play all games with a controller. A keyboard and mouse were invented for typing and clicking on things. I get that people like mouse and keyboard for FPS because it gives them a multiplayer advantage, but most games today are designed with a controller in mind. Especially for analog stick movement.

same. actually I dont even have rhyme or reason to it, I play FPSs with a controler, but when I was into Overwatch,I used M&KB for that so /shrug

Played Xcom 1 and 2 with controller and with M&KB on seperate ocasions too for example.

Well they did put Halo Wars on steam.
But then again, it might also be smart to wait for more free gamepass codes somewhere and play the game for free like i did with GOW4

Halo Wars was not internally developed. Right now if it was developed by a 3rd party , it may show up on steam however only after they are done adding features and content.

If it's developed by a internal team it's unlikely to show up on steam under the current strategy.

With State of decay 2, contracts were done before the developer was bought out so I would expect it will appear on steam after major updates are done.

Even if MS helps with development, look at the developer named and if they are not wholly owned by MS there is a chance it appears on steam.

I play everything with keyboard and mouse. Even fighting games and platformers. I don't need another controller to just play games, it's like buying a console to play games when you have PC that can do everything, what's the point?
