It is basically semantics, but it was worded different for a reason.

That would make sense if they were bringing their games to playstation and switch too, but as it is, its just pc and a lot of their games only come to the windows store, not steam either.
I hope MCC comes to PC also. I'm not really interested in playing Halo 5 (and future titles) without experiencing the older titles first.
I noticed this the other day in the store or somewhere else. Definitely came off as odd to me (my memory is fuzzy, but I recall this before this thread. Not saying this isn't new info though).

Having the entire Halo series on the Windows Store is what that storefront needed from the start.
If it were to get that, and Gears 2, 3 and Judgment ports on top of that, I'd certainly rebuy all of them in one go. I'll gladly continue playing both series, but only on the condition that I'm all caught up and have all the games in my library.

I wouldn't be surprised if the MCC and 5 both land on PC before Infinite. It's the perfect way to catch the PC crowd up on the series and build hype overall.

When could they even announce this? If we get both the MCC and Halo 5 on PC that would be insane.
MCC and Halo 5 coming to PC is a given. The question is "when" not "if".
No, they've been pretty consistent on how they use both of those terms.
"Only on XBOX One" = literally just that
"Console Exclusive" = it's on PC too
it's been that way for years and jokes have been made about it up to this point. Forza Horizon 3's box-art says "Console Exclusive". Sunset Overdrive's box-art says "Only on Xbox One".
Since when? Last year's gamescom had three PC port announcements, two of which were 360 Kinect games (along with previous XB1 exclusive Zoo Tycoon).
Going forward yes, the commitment didn't extend to their back catalog.
I've been surprised with not only how active they are to rebrand the 4k features on titles but they even push the back compat digital offerings and boxes to read "Xbox One." See Tomb Raider Underworld and Doom 3.

If anything, it's Sunset Overdrive that people should be worried about and crossing fingers for.
The comparisons should be between the two PEGI versions because as far as I checked, the ESRB versions still show it as "Only on Xbox One". Here's the old PEGI image:

Surely it would be easier to call the gaming section of the Windows Store "Xbox Store" and then just leave it as "Xbox Exclusive".
I guess I just assumed there was a surplus of Halo 5 copies out in the wild already, but I do suppose GOTY editions are a thing

That said, even on my XBO X the game is the most graphically dissapointing game of the generation.
The campaign is by far the worst of the Halo games.
Multi is terrible to me, but I know I'm in the minority in that opinion.
Still, a win for PC. Hopefully they stretch out the LoDs and Shadows with PC, and add some bells and whistles.
