We are 8 hours away from the conference, what expectations does everyone have?

I am expecting a few surprise anouncments and also some surprise ready to download after the show games. Really hoping for a FF8 HD or FF6 PS4 release and also news on some of the games that got trailers but no gameplay footage yet.

Wait, it's in 8 hours? I guess they got annoyed at people in the US staying up and decided to try to make it as impractical as possible for every timezone.

Oh nice, I always have fun at these conferences even though there's not much exciting in them usually. They're fun popcorn fare.

Give me AA games please. Maybe gameplay of the Square Enix / Platinum crossover I forgot the name of.

Hopefully new gameplay from those SE game they announced, the platinum one, the front mission one etc. New announcements would be great too

m8, it's 5:30pm for me - that's plenty convenient :P

I'm hoping for Rayspace, if only because the space-faring DualShock 4 gimmick is too batshit to not tie into something in the show.

Also hoping this is where we see the new Yakuza team IP (Eye of the Shinigami or w/e if a recent trademark is related), and maybe a Ys IX announcement (Tokyo Xanadu 2 is what I would have bet on before Kondo made his recent comments).

Maybe a KH3 trailer that shows off another playable character or BH6.

EDIT: Maybe Dragon Quest Heroes 3. They all but confirmed they were working on that years ago.

Is there any confirmation that we should expect many new announcements?

From the description of the event, it sounds like it could just be a rehash of the E3 trailers:
The event itself will be "set in a vast universe that represents the world of Playtation" that invites viewers to "participate as members of a DualShock 4 spaceship's crew and travel across various planets" as they experience footage of the latest PlayStation 4 games.

But at least the Americans will know how Aussies feel every time there's an E3 or PSX conference on :P

Expectations:

SNK - New game announcement. The countdown site they launched last week is ending during the show.

D3 Publisher - They're always there. They have two titles to announce at TGS. One is being announced at TGS itself, the other they said would be announced soon. I expect the other to be announced here.

I dunno what else to expect. Bandai Namco is usually there - maybe a new Idolmaster or Katamari Damacy (the Katamari Damacy Reroll trademark)? Atlus / VanillaWare, Koei Tecmo, Sega, and Square Enix usually tend to be there, so maybe stuff from them. Sega / Yakuza's Toshihiro Nagoshi teased "something truly different" a couple of weeks ago that will be revealed soon, and Sega has yet to announce their TGS lineup, so.

The new project from the Yakuza team plus a look at Shin Yakuza are very plausible. SNK's big new game is a damn near guarantee as well.

If non-AAA Japanese games are your jam, should be a great show.

Will confirm that the random RTS looking thing we saw last trailer was gameplay :P

... Or hopefully not. My thinking is that the game was delayed when they realized absolutely no one would want that based on the premise.
