my main issue with the bases/wave missions in spidey is that they're not tougher!

also that it's really annoying trying to track off-screen enemies in that game. Their lighting is amazing, but it also means that you fuckin' lose track of enemies really fast.

I rewatched History of Trunks and it was... okay. Not as good as I remembered, but the last time I saw it I was 11.

The lesson here is that things you saw as a kid are sometimes bad as an adult. Who would have thought?

I just looked for Store Pick-up at Best Buy, there wasn't a PS4 Pro available within 250 miles and I live right outside NYC. Sony must be livid about these shortages with such a big game out right now.

As it turns out, the first season of Pokemon is great after a rewatch as an adult. Even better than I remember, largely due to the excellent humor

These drone challenges in Spider-Man are a bitch to get the best rating in. I've only done 2 so far and they took me like 20 tries. They're still very fun and once you get that perfect run it's amazing.

I think I'm at a point where I'm ok with going further into dragon quest.

The story still feels really bland and generic (I fucking hate the silent protagonist so much) but the combat is starting to open up and the world is still charming enough.

Metal Gear Solid confession

I thought Solid Snake and Otacon were boyfriends in Metal Gear Solid 4. I only realised this year that they aren't in the canon...

That would've been a great love story.

Spider-man (2002) has not aged well at all, I forgot this movie had a pretty bad homophobic joke which prompted me to remember this image.

I finished Jak and Daxter so now I can move on to DQXI. There is some very fiddly platform sections in in that game that I didn't find fun, but platformers were never really my thing. It also really could have done with a map and subtitles, and some clothes for the two major female characters.

Six episodes into Sharp Objects now and it's really building into something very good. What really elevates it is the direction, I think in lesser hands this could have ended up being a melodramatic mess but it's shot and acted so well that it's never a big issue.

I recognised Amma from Home and Away, it seems like nearly every Australian actor/actress has appeared in it or Neigbours. She gives a great performance in this for someone so young.

Ended up installing Ubuntu on my laptop (in dual boot with Win10) on Friday to play around with it and learn more about the OS since I basically have 0 experience with Linux.

Most things are working great and I have been having a lot of fun so far but my laptop is mostly used as a Plex server and transfering my library from the Windows Setup to Linux has been a real pain in the butt so far...ugh

If its the same computer, just run plex and point it to the folder? Linux can see everything

Seriously though, metal gear solid has at once the weirdest sexualisation of women and the most male homoerotic subtext of any game made.
