I wonder if the SMW Medley will go to the Yoshi series or Mario series....
I figure Yoshi's Island (Melee) will be an exception to the rule and have Mario music instead of Yoshi music.
It makes no sense at all to have the stage have Yoshi music. Not even the classic themes on the stage are considered Yoshi Music, 100% of the music on the stage is considered Mario Music except the rip of Yoshi's Story (Melee)'s music, which isn't even a good fit for the stage.
I dunno, would break the illusion where Mario 64 worlds are their own little worlds. At least, that's how I see them. lolRelated to Rainbow Cruise:

I think they're doing a fine job of keeping the original spirit of the Melee stage, don't think it needs anything extra.
WEll the stage is already weird enough as a Yoshi stage to begin with, I could see Yoshi stealing the SMW music for itself while he's at it.

I would question whether he's actually barefoot here or not, but I have a freaking wall scroll of Sonic characters hanging up that has Tails and Amy Rose in sandals so I can pretty much auto-confirm this is what Sonic anthro feet look like.Not Sonic.

Rainbow Cruise's little mountain village has always been my favorite background detail in Smash.
The orange coloring is pretty distinct from waddle dee. It's like...citrus orange, and he's all orange.
Waddle Dee is more apple-red, and there's a big beige face and bandanna dee in particular has the big blue bandanna
I know it's kinda hard to tell, but Bandana Waddle Dee is red, not orange like the others.
Sometimes, Waddle Dees kind of shift around in color between games

In Star Allies, they're all the same color, but in Battle Royale, BWD is clearly darker.

I love looking at Smash backgrounds. I'm gonna be viewing each stage at every angle with the camera to admire them and see what interesting things are going on. The BotW Plateau one will be interesting to see just how much they carried over from that game.
