If we don't get a direct announcement in the next 48 hours, I will try and tally the amount of times Sakurai blinks in the Smash direct and decode a message from that.
So they're just assuming Corocoro will have Smash news.
Yeah, I'm keeping my expectations in check.
I honestly wasn't sure. I have no idea who the final boss of the new Spider-Man is and had no familiarity with the old games, so when this suggestion was made, I had no idea how old of a spoiler it actually was.
What are the Final Smashes that we haven't seen yet for the announced characters besides Young Link?

I find funny how people are expecting smash news from Coro-Coro. A magazine that is mostly recognized for leaking Pokémon news (among other properties focused at children).

I'm 50/50. I wouldn't be surprised if it skipped today too. I noticed several twitters never updated even over the weekend, even if they'd have something to tweet about and generally do so. Makes me think they gave people some days off due to the disaster, which probably extends to the smash blog.
