I saw a lot of people getting caught with the year-old tweet right now on Twitter, don't know why now all of a sudden.
Yeah, they're conceding enough.
About the maintenance schedule, is 10 hours of maintenance a regular thing? It just seems odd.
Aren't these reprints in part due to the fact that earlier sets are being phased out of tournament setting, or was I misinformed
My heart raced when i saw the tweet, thought it was real without checking the date, saw September and 13th, yep this is it. Funny things happen in hype mode.
Haven't played Civ in years but this is the perfect type of PC game for handheld mode. Definitely getting it.
The Sims 4 is another PC that would be perfect on the Switch, I really hope that gets announced. These are the type of games I like to play while relaxing, not sitting in front of a monitor.
Old sets are being phased out, but these aren't reprints. They're new cards with new skills and artwork.

Nah but it is weird how that port's kind of disappeared. I hope it's not one of those "impossible" ports that turns out to actually be impossible. It's not the kind of game I'd expect to see as a headline in a Direct anyway, so I'm not expecting to see it here.
I mean, it's ARK. the first question I had upon announcement was "why". because the game runs like ass on more powerful machines
The game was part of the E3 Direct (for a few seconds like DBFZ for example). It didn't disappear.
It most like is a console exclusive for now, there was no mention of other platforms in the PR.
I often times bring my Switch to work thinking I'll play on my lunch break but forget half the time. Once Civ is out, I'll probably never not have it with me at lunch.
I wish these cowards would stop fucking around and finally give me a TCG on Switch. Pokémon, Fire Emblem Cipher, hell, bring Card Hero to the West already.
Huh, yeah it was. Just rewatched that little bit and the footage didn't look entirely "real" (as in, not like it was the actual Switch build) so I guess I'll believe it when I see it. Would be amazing if the developers could pull it off well.
There is Switch footage out there (in an alpha state), I remember people here being shocked that the game was running decently.
They were questionning the authencity of the footage and claimed that it was streamed iirc lol
I didn't know what I was doing either when I tried Civ 5. I still sort of had fun with it though, lol. I could see myself buying 6 on Switch and giving it more time to make sense to me.
It's baffling how the Pokemon TCG (excluding the gameboy one) has never made it onto a console

When they finally release this Direct, do you guys think they'll keep it "Nintendo Direct 9.6.2018" or update the date accordingly? This may seem trivial, but I think this nugget determines whether we can realistically consider Tuesday a candidate date or not.
Part of Nintendo Directs are having the date plastered all over the place -- in the video titles, Twitter images, etc. I doubt Nintendo of America wants to open themselves up to troll / flame exploitation (sorry to say, but we all know such sinister individuals exist) by distributing media that says "Nintendo Direct 9.11" all over the place. People bring up Mario Maker's release date, but that date was more secondary to the product, if that makes sense. For a Direct, the date is what defines the product.

Why would they keep the old date in the title? I don't think Nintendo cares about that point.
People who are playing it on PC will likely continue wanting to play it on PC. Not all PC franchises will translate to big successes in the console space. What is the highest selling game in this genre on a console? Probably not anywhere near that.
I think their PR will see the optics of plastering the date "9.11" all over their marketing materials. People have mentioned Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's 12/7 (Pearl Harbor) release date, but we refer to that date colloquially as "Pearl Harbor"; 9/11 is 9/11...
Well usually when people colloquially refer to directs they go by the month. 5 months from now they won't say "It was shown off in the 9/11 direct" they will say "it was shown off in the September direct". Also, Nintendo's kind of backed into a corner here with Famitsu and all, they'll take what they can get.
You might get one eventually, but probably not so soon after Gold.
Gold just came out so I really wouldn't expect anything for a while.
Yeah, but I think a lot of people remember the notorious 4.1.2015 Direct; when the date holds some significance, it sticks. We also don't know what is going to be in Famitsu.
If they really want to have it Tuesday, I have a feeling they'll just keep the old date in the video title, and use the generic Nintendo Direct image on Twitter to advertise it. It's a perfect way to dodge invoking 9/11 on marketing materials.
