I hope not. Every other game is fine as far as I can tell. I'll try reinstalling, and see if that fixes it. The streaming issue where it freezes only happens every couple of hours or so (I'm 59% done at about 13 hours), so it's not too bad. My biggest issue has been the cutscenes, and the dialogue/subtitle issue I mentioned.

Thank you for putting time in to respond.

If you have an external hard drive connected that might cause weirdness too

Fuck these challenge missions. Especially the drones. I can't live with myself unless I get Gold.

What suit powers are worth using? They all seem kind of irrelevant with the long cool down. Been just using the advance suit one, because focus is always useful

Underground
It's such a small detail, but I love that NPCs listening to music actually bob their heads. And speaking of music, I heard some really dope stuff playing in cars and boomboxes while walking the streets. Is there licensed music in this, or is it all originally made for this game?

I am lost when it comes to the crime where the police are chasing a stolen car. What exactly am I to do? When I follow I just get shot and die.

Woo managed to get a 128 hit combo and get a nice slow-mo finish at the end as well:

If you fail a car chase by losing the car (yes I know) as that particular mission lost or will it pop back up?

It'll pop back up. You'll see a lot of these same missions.

You can avoid getting shot by pressing circle when you see them firing at you. When you get close enough to the car, there will be a triangle button prompt to let you jump onto it.

MAAAAAAAAAAAAN, I can't tell if I'm getting better or worse at this combat yet. The "Demons" have started to popup around the city & they've been giving quite a bit of difficulty. My main issue right now is that I wanna try using all the cool moves the game throws at you like webbing dudes up & throwing them around, but I hardly ever get a chance to actually do that because a projectile, rocket or hail of gun-fire is constantly pursuing my every move.

Kinda makes it hard to pull off some of the cooler techniques when I'm basically just pressing the Circle button to dodge for 90% of my combat experiences.

Perfect dodge is your friend and enemies will stick to walls with regular webbing if they're close enough to them, and don't waste your impact webbing on regular enemies out in the open. Also Spectacular difficulty is pretty challenging at first but when you get used to it you start pulling off some crazy combos in an effort to not die.

I'd say Assassins Creed because going from Spider-Man mobility to regular guy mobility might suck.

I beat the game last night (this morning technically?) and I really liked it. I think.

It's up there with Persona 5 as a game that I think is fucking amazing and absolutely horrible at the same time. It's a complicated dynamic that not many games that I play manage to get. It goes from "This might be one of the best games I've ever played in my life!" to "I never want to play this awful game ever again" so quickly it gives me whiplash. They got so much right and so much wrong. That being said, they have a nice ground work for a sequel, so hopefully they'll be able to improve on certain things.

Suits were beautiful, combat was mostly fine, traversal was spectacular. Encounter diversity needed a lot of work. Sidequests could have been so much better. That Black Cat stuff was silly too with the knowledge that the conclusion is DLC that you have to pay for lol. But I guess that's how it is now.

I don't know... I need to think about the game some more.

They are both very different but both very lovely. Don't look for similarities between the two, just enjoy them for what they have to offer.

But, the spider man world can be traversed in minutes, from the start. It will take a dozen or more hours to cover a good portion of ACO because of story progression and enemy levels.

Pay Attention would be my biggest advice. A friend of mine got to 55% completion without knowing one of the biggest aspects of traversel. So while it was possible to still play, he was missing out on a pretty key way to move around successfully.

Other than that, I would just say take your time and do a little bit of everything at first. That will help you get familiar with everything there is to do and how to do it, which I believe helps make the story mode better as you will be more equipped.

Man for this stolen vehicle crime I can't get the challenge done for not taking damage for the life of me. I have no idea why it's like I get hit even if I'm super responsive for no reason. It's driving me insane. Almost every other challenge I got in a try or 2 but this.. why?!?! I don't understand.

I actually think that Insomniac deserve some praise for their accessibility settings, it's about time that developers considered less able gamers such as myself and millions of others.

Dang, it's not working on any of my favorite suits :(, why on earth would they restrict it to certain suits? Makes no sense.
Emote is to do with the "shutter lenses" making the eyes appear like they're squinting, angry or surprised, not all suits have these types of eyes. For example if you switch to the Classic or Advance suit you can go into Selfie mode and see the emote options. But suits like the Scarlet Spider, Spider Armor MK II and 2099 have fixed size eyes/face designs so don't support the emote options. It is a total bummer that they didn't implement something else for these suits in Selfie mode but alas... fyi about half the suits have the emote options available and only one of those have unique eyes from the rest (Homemade) all the rest use the same eye lens models.

All this game needs is a wing-suit and a booster. Imagine doing the dive then pulling L3 back with Spidey gliding at full speed, then going back into swinging...

What's part of traversal did he miss out on?

there's a skill that will stun enemies on perfect dodge. If you can't take out the gun guys first then use that to buy yourself time, or use impact webbing, it insta-webs them and if they hit a wall they'll be knocked out instantly. Good way to get to the gun dudes first is to stay in the air. The ground guys can't hit you so you'll be able to focus.

L2+R2 launch, judging from a previous post.
How do you miss that?

Oh god, Kingpin is played by Deep Voice Anime guy (Jamison something?). I can't unhear him as Duke from Vesperia or the Commander from Monster Hunter.

Ah I see, I was hoping the "emotes" would not just be something to do with his face but his actual pose with his hand/fingers, etc (IE doing a peace sign, doing a hang loose sign, or standing differently, etc).
