I was just composing a list of things I'd like to see in Spider-Man 2 and Spotify integration was #1. I think Insomniac missed an opportunity by not doing something like throwing you straight into the game with a short cutscene that immediately transitions to web slinging through the skyscraper canyons to Van Halen or something.

What gadgets do you guys use a lot in Spider-Man? I nearly always just use web grenades.

Pretty much all of them. I switch through them during fights against crowds. They're all useful in combat. Electricity followed up with a web grenade can immediately take out one of the big brawler dudes if they're next to a wall.

Spiderman is deeply homophobic now?

Bummer.

all the gadgets are good but I i still feel like handling them all is a little unwieldy even with 'swap to last' on double-tap

The Insect Glaive takes Monster Hunter World from a 9/10 to a 9.5/10. It's just so god damn satisfying, leaping around everywhere.

I moved from Insect Glaive to hunting Horn to Longsword. All play wildly different and have enough diversity and depth that you could main one for the entirety of the game.

MHW is pretty good now that I got into high level content.

How viable is the hunting horn solo?

My mains across two playthroughs have gone from

Charge Blade --- > Heavy Bowgun

Hammer --- > Insect Glaive

Very good actually. Despite being ostensibly a support weapon, it's very good in solo play. The buffs are super useful and give you higher parameters than other weapons to compensate for the fact that you have slightly less killing power (you still do a high amount of damage though, where you can combo any of your three attacks together ad infinitum, and since it's a blunt weapon you can both exhaust and stun monsters).

Some of those perspectives made me interrogate where I'm at with GB and I think on a personal level I probably fall more on the side of being less engaged (missing weeks of bombcasts at a time now where it used to be somewhat religious). I don't find myself relating to the crew much anymore and my relationship with games has definitely changed over the last decade in terms of time investment. It's more or less comfort food now though, I don't plan on stopping watching/subscribing anytime soon (unless West doubles up on Ranking of Fighters and forces my hand).

I felt the same way and it's the first thread I've read through from the beginning to the end; I expressed my thoughts over in that thread. However, I'm in the same boat now - partly because of being at university and having less time but also finding some of the crew less engaging. My favourite era was definitely when Austin/Patrick were around, though I love watching the GOTY chat as it's kinda everything throughout the year distilled into those episodes.

Honestly, what were they thinking with the scenes where you don't play as Spider-Man. Surely nobody thinks these sections are good.

Also, I don't need so much fucking exposition on every research station. I wish I hit the button and it just popped the objectives up.

hereditary was much tamer than I was lead to believe. Good movie though, just more predictable than I had hoped

Just fill up that sweet sweet ballot box with your vote. Just shoot it full of your votes until you're exhausted. Do your civic duty to that voting box booty.

You know, it just hit me that Giant Bomb should play Dark Messiah of Might & Magic. It's the best Half-Life game ever made.
