I can't retire my PS2 yet because I often play urban reign with my friends.

I wish I could retire the old archaic slim ps2, but nope, not until namco re-releases this gem on ps4 or ps5.

I don't want to retire any of my consoles as it is. I usually pop in at least one older game every month.

Demon Souls and Bloodborne.

I could not possibly care less about any of the other games. I'd have sold those consoles ages ago, otherwise.

Luckily PS3 emulation is getting pretty decent, so hopefully I'll be able to get rid of the console soon.

My PlayStation 3 is always hooked up due to 2 games.
  • Initial D Extreme Stage
  • Catherine
Now once Catherine comes out on PS4 this may change but it'll be hard not to race to Eurobeat at least once a week.

I recently got my PS4 and I bet Red Dead Redemption 2 will keep me hooked. I don't think any other singleplayer game could keep me glued to a particular console.

PS3 is always plugged in because I never know when I'll want to play MGS3 again. Sigh.

The PS2 for Midnight Club 1-3, Timesplitters 1-2, and THPS3. Timeless, ageless games to me.

ModNation Racers and Ni No Kuni should have prevented me from selling my PS3, but I find almost everything about that system so unappealing that I couldn't hold onto it. Praying for the day either of those makes it to PC or PS4

Dreamcast for Crazy Taxi 2, since the first one is available on Xbox One. SEGA Saturn for SEGA Worldwide Soccer 97.

All of my older consoles are "retired". My 360 and Wii are hooked up, but haven't been touched in years.

Wonderful 101, Super Mario Galaxy and RE4 Wii version for my Wii U. Never had any problem giving them up a console before.

Thousand Year Door is like the only reason to keep my GameCube now. But since I can't find my AC adapter for my Cube, I use my Wii instead. And since I play my Wii games on my Wii U, it's also the only reason I keep my Wii now. Once I find my AC adapter for my Cube and can successfully transfer my Wii stiff to my Wii U (If I even bother anymore) then I won't need the Wii in the middle since the other two systems handle the rest.

I'll also need my PS2 for my Katamari games and Jak games if I ever want to play them or SOTC since I don't own any PlayStation consoles since the PS2 so I can't buy the HD remasters of the latter games and there's no HD rerelease of Katamari on anything I own. (Switch rerelease of Katamari 1+2 please)

Dreamcast is still out for Phantasy Star Online and some Power Stone sessions.
PS3 will probably always stay out for all the ps1 and 2 games I wanna play.

I've never managed to get Beetle Adventure Racing for N64 to emulate well.

Probably the Genesis. Just too many awesome pick up and play arcade titles I'll want to revisit until I die.

That being said the only consoles I think I've retired are the Playstation 1 and the Wii. That's only really because the Wii U and the PS2 both have backwards compatibility.

And the 32x. Because it's a piece of shit that never worked in the first place.

But the Dreamcast and Genesis/CD combo... you will have to fucking pry them from my cold, lifeless, death grip before I am ever without them again. I just NEED my Contra Hard Corps and Chu Chu fix, man. I NEED it.

I can't retire my Dreamcast because of Power Stone 1 & 2 and Project Justice. Everything else got ported to other consoles. There is a Power Stone Collection on PSP but those games need to be played on a TV with multiple friends in the same room.

For the Wii U, it's Super Mario 3D World as the main one. Mind, there are other games on the system I don't wish to retire the Wii U for. And even then, we like having all our consoles active.

The Simpsons Arcade game and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Arcade Game (I know it's on NES and I have that version, but it's still different) keep me from retiring my 360.

I'd say Ninja Gaiden II, but I have hope it'll be BC one day.

Also, I have Outrun and Space Harrier on the 3DS, but I'd still rather play them on the Saturn. Along with Panzer Dragoon and Zwei (don't have Saga, unfortunately).

Would love Ninja Gaiden 2 to be BC on Xbox One so I can put the 360 away.

GTA IV is keeping my PS3 hooked up, I wanna retire that system so bad but R* doesn't want to do an anniversary edition.
