As someone that was literally playing second son waiting for this to unlock to play yesterday this is spot on. The recovery for Cole and Delsin is terrible compared to spidey
Impact web gadget for clinging enemies to walls. There was a tutorial for it. Gotta select the gadget with the radial wheel in combat.
As for the car, it's weird but you don't hit circle when the sense is tingling. Just dodge around the car with the left stick and punch when next to gunmen in the windows.
fuck the combat in this game is so good. I was worried it was gonna play like arkham boy was I way off.
I feel like the game would be better without them. They're just as bad as the side quests from Spiderman 2 on the Xbox/PS2 back in 2004... I keep expecting to run into a kid screaming about their run away balloon.
I still haven't figure this one out yet, it happens to me seemingly randomly which doesn't make sense
No excuse for a release of this magnitude to crash as often as it does. None. Was this mentioned in any of the reviews?
This game is fucking amazing and looks incredible! It's so sharp and the colors so good. And the swinging it's the best. Insomniac really did an amazing job!

Something is wrong mine hasn't crashed once.
Also I found something I didn't know about and I think it's a little hidden Easter egg extra "spend more time searching the city" side quest thing
anyone else found many of the 100 hidden secret photo ops yet, at least I think it was 100x, might have been 80 or 90. Edit: actually it's only 50

Spider-Man fights Blood Spider in the book. Blood Spider is on equal grounds with Spider-Man. In the book Blood Spider basically OHKO the Kingpin while holding back a lot of his strength as to not kill him for his own reasons. In the fight with Peter Blood Spider unleashes everything he has on Peter doing his best to kill him. It's a legit fight where Peter is taking a hell of a beating from someone who has his level of strength if not slightly stronger.

Well, borrowed a friend's copy and rolled through the game with a bit of aside time to mess around with the usual side-fluff and the collectables. Overall, it's probably just slightly behind Arkham Asylum as my favourite superhero game. The much more "human" approach to the story, focusing more on Parker's relationships with his close friends, family and colleagues is great and the slower build-up is a lovely contrast to that of the Batman games with their "rapid fire rogues gallery" approach of just throwing absolutely everything and everyone at you in quick succession. Movement feels great, especially using L3 to descend straight down and gain more momentum and speed on the upswing and using X to gain forward momentum and further bursts of speed on approaches to buildings really stacks up, satisfying without being too overcomplicated. Looking forward to a potential sequel, especially with all the nuggets of info the post-credits scenes hint at! Fucking great ending, one of the better ones I've witnessed in a game to date.

Agree though, I love that Horizon/God of War HUD.
The crashing has been mentioned in this thread a couple times. Every time its happened with my its when i went into the menu directly after finishing a fight. Dont know if thats just a coincidence but something is going wrong somewhere.
Its not on par with the likes of Horizon and GOW but it looks good enough to get more than a few wows out me. (Sony X900e)

I LOVE swinging around the city. I really enjoy the combat and the story sequences are top notch.

I'm getting this glitch (?) where I get to crimes and the optional objectives are already marked as complete. I don't think I get any credit for doing them either even if I do them again.
Most of the side content is legitimately terrible, with the only thing making them worth doing is the incentive for unlocks, and the great mechanics make thrm berable to do. Some of the side stufd reminds me of Infamous 1, in terms of how inconsequential some of them are.
Everything else is really excellent though. They really nailed the traversal, the combat opens up really nicely, the performances are really great, and it's a really visually stunning game.

I could be wrong but I think they are shared between Crimes. Like once you "Slider under 3 enemies" in one crime you have it finished in all of them.
Oh really? That would explain it but it seems weird that they would keep coming up and not have any new ones.
It's insane how dense the city population is. Definitely the best I've see in a open world game

Ran into an NCP playing a guitar on a rooftop, you can hear him play upclose, that's a neat detail.

More fun is that there are photos of my girlfriend on vacation that are "MJ vacation photos" and our dog Shiva is MJ's family dog as you can see a photo of her too you can catch at a certain moment
This isn't a glitch but it is confusing. Once you've done that optional objective for that crime type you can't score it again.
Once you're unlocked all of the combat upgrades and gadgets, the combat systems depth rivals the likes of DMC and Bayonetta. The amount of tricky moves you can do is insane.

So I have a Pro downstairs and a base PS4 in my bedroom. Figured I'd take care of the backpacks and landmarks before bed (which I just finished).
Anyway I just want to commend Insomniac for the job they've done getting it to run pretty much exactly the damn same. And the game still looks fantastic either way.
Job well done.
Usually I can feel the difference. I can only see it with this game, and it is not like what I am seeing is drastic either. Of course Pro looks better, but base still looks damn good too.

I had one crash so far after going to the menu after completing some of the puzzles in the lab.
Otherwise it's playing perfectly for me aside from my Pro's fans ramping up in cutscenes and indoor segments, otherwise my Pro is silent during outdoor gameplay. I have a quiet Pro that a lot of people here don't believe exists and Spider-Man is the only game where I ever heard my Pro's fans get kinda loud. Even during God of War my Pro was quiet.
