FYI: FFVIII PS4 would be revealed and dropped on the same day as Sony's TGS conference on the 10th. That's how they did VII & IX too.

Junction is fine, but a quality of life fix for it would be swell. The tutorial and what not could be way clearer and being able to redo things faster would be appreciated.

Interesting notes:
  • Four "to be announced" events.
  • Dragon Quest XI producer and director will appear at the Dragon Quest Paradise stage, which will have info on Dragon Quest-related works, starting with Dragon Quest Builders 2. (Switch version information incoming?)

A next gen FF VIII remake would be pretty spectacular just from the visual presetation alone.

That entire sequence played in realtime would be sick.

Let's see what kind of shirt Yoshida wears this time, lol. That's the most I would reasonably expect from TGS, which is almost next to nothing.

Are people unironically expecting FFVIII Remake?
At best you will get port like FFVII/FFIX.

Square seems to have problem with remaking FFVII Disc 1, starting another game would be suicide.

I don't think it should be replaced, I think it should be explained much better though.
I also think there's way too much possibility to exploit the system right from the beginning. For example, win a few card games, convert them to Curaga, junction to HP and you're literally set all the way till the end of the game, and this can be done within the first few hours.

I think they probably just want to focus on their other big budget RPGs right now. KH3 and the last 4 FFXV DLCs will be coming from January to April, so I expect FFVIIR to be shown after all that is done - basically, E3 2019.

On the bright side, given what they've said about how development is going smoothly, and after what Nomura has stated was a too-early reveal, they may want to just avoid public appearances altogether until they have something truly solid to show. I could see them bringing the game to E3 in a near-finished state, confirming a holiday 2019 release for Part 1 and detailed information on parts 2 and 3. That's 4.5 years after reveal, longer than FFXV.

I think making 3 different trailers was a bit of a mistake. Making a game trailer can take a surprisingly long time and making the kind of supertightly edited, stylish & well thought out trailers Nomura usually pushes out is probably even more time-consuming than your average trailer.

Though I think the POTC reveal trailer was pretty good. Not quite as good as the best KH and Nomura trailers but decent still.

Also, for FFVIII please remove that Seed salary system. That doesnt make sense. Do i only get money from seed salary?
