I've been playing for two days straight and just got Endor for the first time a few hours ago. Beautiful map and yeah it really sucks when one side doesn't start the walker part because you can't see the rest of the map! That's the only map I've haven't seen all the way to the end :-(
I am somewhat early on in multiplayer -- probably 10 hours-ish give or take. But I guess I never would've expected this pace to keep up long term. In most games rewards start taking longer to get the longer you play.
You actually can not get the best versions, aka purple star cards, out of crates. the highest you can get is blues. you need to craft purples. It's not just the pace slowing down, its that the best versions of stuff is locked behind RNG and there are diminishing rewards. Trust those of us who have been grinding for awhile. The progression is glacial.

You shouldn't need a card. It's absolutely insane. I can only get up to like, 3000 or so before the game ends. There's no way I'll be able to play as a higher class hero. It sucks.I just got a card to increase battle points for the heavy class, it helps a lot.
Yeah. Load times are terrrrrrrrrrrrrible in this game.I don't know why DICE are so terrible at load times. The first Battlefront was pretty shit specially when the Bespin DLC cam out. Battlefield one was absolutely terrible and had the same problem as this where it took about 3 hours to get to the main menu and now this is pretty bad.
I always think it's a bit lazy by the devs because in 3 games it doesn't even seem like they have attempted to sort it out.
if you can't get over 3000 before the game ends, then that card is basically made for you, cause it's supposed to help not so good players to get more points so they have a chance of using the heroes too.You shouldn't need a card. That's the thing, I don't think I'm "not so good." I admit I'm not great at the game, but I'm pretty sure I at least have a 1:1 K/D, probably closer to 1.5/1. That's average, I think. It feels off.if you can't get over 3000 before the game ends, then that card is basically made for you, cause it's supposed to help not so good players to get more points so they have a chance of using the heroes too.
I went in a game with Kylo and his freeze is just SO good if you are able to catch a hero or two in it. It's pretty fun.Heroes Vs. Villains is surprisingly fun.
I absolutely WRECK people with Maul.
true, that's ok, but you are competing with people that have a 4+ KDR for the heroes. That's the thing, I don't think I'm "not so good." I admit I'm not great at the game, but I'm pretty sure I at least have a 1:1 K/D, probably closer to 1.5/1. That's average, I think. It feels off.

I specialize in earth maul killing with han solo. Shoulder check him to the ground, shoot him until he almost gets up, then knock him down again with my grenade.Heroes Vs. Villains is surprisingly fun.

People trying to be polite, meanwhile SG-17 going straight for the jugularI find it trivial to get enough battlepoints to play as a hero two or even three times in one Galactic Assault round, and I don't use the BP bonus star card.
You just have to play the objective. Even if you don't actually interact with it, if you are nearby you'll get 500 points when it's completed for defending it. Sometimes you'll even get 1000 points. You also get huge point bonuses for killing enemies near the objective. A 14 kill killstreak defending one of the capture zones in Death Star II netted me around 12k battlepoints.People trying to be polite, meanwhile SG-17 going straight for the jugular
I know man, but just like.... :PYou just have to play the objective. Even if you don't actually interact with it, if you are nearby you'll get 500 points when it's completed for defending it. You can also just play as a Specialist and take potshots at starfighters if you want an easy way to get BP.You just have to play the objective. This seems dumb, because then it doesn't encourage people to play the objective. Also, what loadout is an air sniper so I can try that?true, that's ok, but you are competing with people that have a 4+ KDR for the heroes.
or people like me who snipe fighters out of the air for 2-3 minutes and then immediately get a hero.
or the pilots on your team (if enemy doesnt have air snipers) who will farm AI and then take the heroes.
so being just average isn't really gonna get you a hero any time quick.
I do try and stay with my squad. They always run all over the place and I wind up not being able to stay with my squad.Stay with your squad. Play the objective. It's not all about K/D. If all you can get is 3000 BP before the game ends, your play is 'not so good' even if you're not.
Do play the objective, you get nice points for that too. This seems dumb, because then it doesn't encourage people to play the objective. Also, what loadout is an air sniper so I can try that?

I like the marksman card which resets your heat on headshots. Obviously really good for a sniper.I'm sitting on lots of crafting materials. What cards are a necessity as a Specialist? My purple unlock was of course trip mines which are pointless for sniping.
So is it safe to say that the BP system is another huge improvement over the pick-up system of bf15?
I for one never had a problem with the old system, but this is just better and more fair imo.

Strike is the best game mode. Absolutely wrecked people on it last night as I defended or attacked. Random bro sent me a party chat invite when we were playing which was cool. People should use those spotting darts more often. Helps out a ton when there's a chokepoint and you need to know exactly where to throw a nade
Heavies are great to take out vehicles/do damage to MTT and AT-AT, setup their ion turrets and annoy planes with their torpedos/explosive sentryReally loving this game so far. Haven't had the "Just one more game..." feeling since Overwatch first came out.
I'm having trouble with Heavy though... I get by pretty well with the other three roles but haven't figured out what to use the Heavy for.
Are they not as useful at a lower player level?
I've only tried a few times, but I think I was disappointed. Something about hitting a headshot and not getting a kill is just frustrating to me.Tried Specialist for the first time today, and I have to say sniping in this game feels easy and rewarding.
Already half way to unlocking the second gun after 1 match. I can't wait to try the starfighter sniping Klyka has been suggesting for fast BP.
Also interested in the 500 kills rifle, that thing looks like a beast from the video someone posted a few pages back.

You can craft any card but upgrading the cards to higher levels requires you to be higher level in that class (solvable by crafting a bunch of base cards for that class) and high enough account level, which you get by playing the game.Holy hell, totally forgot you could craft cards. If you have the parts you can craft any ability card?
Lol that's why I've been using it every single chance I get. I'm working towards that dumb challenge, plus it just helps out a lot. That's exactly what I do (or did in the beta lol). Plus you get kill assist if your team kills the enemy thanks to your dart.
