I'm genuinely surprised Nintendo is allowing this game to exist on its platform

Okay but seriously... This game should just be buried and forgotten about.

I watched the uncensored footage and it was some cringe worthy stuff, really surprised Nintendo okayed this game.

Made available again with a patch (you had to manually download and install)
Sureley it will not be in for this version, but still...
fuck. they made an optional rape patch? unbelievable.
and does nintendo care what comes to their system anymore? i think as long as it gets an M or lower by ESRB they won't care.

Why not?
The violence in the game isn't much different from other games such as Doom.

The thing with 'mature' content is that context is important, not just severity. Hatred is less violent than Doom but Nintendo would (rightfully) get a lot more flack for getting a port of that.

Nintendo goes pretty much full blown uncensored since MK2 on snes.

In fact since then, one could argue that nintendo had the goriest, most violent and nudiest(is that even a word?) games on its systems.

A while back didn't Nintendo say they wanted more mature games on the Switch and even stuff like Gal Gun?

The violence and gore didn't bother me (it's hell, afterall). The terrible level design and controls did, though.

I mean, they released a completely untranslated japanese "game" in EU on the switch where you can call a real japanese adult star. When you are lucky enough to click the right answers she will provide you photos and even videos of her in different poses (i.e. doggystyle on a bed) dressed in kawaii sado-maso outfit*.
Now beat that

*No nudity though. Cleavage yes

Since the creation of the ESRB, a ratings system Nintendo had a direct hand in molding, this type of content has been permitted on their platforms. It's not 1993 anymore.

I feel like people still believe that Nintendo is a behemoth that is moving to slow when it comes to progress.

From what I noticed, that seems to only happen with Indie games and NIS games. I haven't seen it else otherwise.

You don't see many direct comparisons when PS4 versions outsell other SKUs, because they're the market leader with a significant leg up on the competition. This wouldn't be interesting information at all. If XB1 versions started significantly outselling the other editions and devs divulged that information, you would absolutely see threads about it.
