Well good start for the Cubs. Hopefully Q can keep it going.

Btw I went to Miller Park for the first time on Labor Day. Holy shit the traffic was unbelievable getting there. We literally waited in a line for almost an hour just to get into parking. Didn't make until the 2nd inning. Makes me glad Wrigley is accessible by public transit. Miller is a pretty awesome venue though and the Cubs fans traveled well.

The amount of regression this season from what were supposed to be cornerstone players going forward is pretty alarming

That was embarrassing on every level. If you're a pitcher on the Yankees, you've gotta have zero confidence in Sanchez blocking anything in the dirt.

lame.

oh well 2 out of 3 isn't bad and they have more games against the cubs if I recall right.

it would have been nice to see the brewers only 2 back instead of 4 though.

News breaks that Ohtani has been recommend for TJ surgery.

Ohtani's response:

This kid is unreal. Such a bummer he's injured; I hope his surgery goes well and we see him return better than ever.

4-4, 2 HR, 1 BB, and 1 SB. Incredible. The thing about being a 2-way player, Shohei can still DH all next year.

I would like to think that this game will finally convince the organization that this isn't just a slump for Severino and that something is fundamentally broken and needs to be identified and fixed before he pitches again.

I'm still mind boggled that he could still hit two HR's. Granted, he's a left handed batter as opposed to a right handed pitcher, but still. He'll only hit during 2019 and probably pitch again in 2020 is my guess.

Getting rid of Girardi after the team was only one win away to reach the postseason and replace him with fucking Aaron Boone was really a bonehead desicion

You would have hoped that the last few years of American life would have taught us that appointing tv personalities with no relevant job experience to demanding leadership positions was a bad id-

welp.

Last night was like in Scarface when they make Tony Montana watch Hector chainsaw his friend where I kept trying to fall asleep with the game on but no I kept staying awake and watching the runs pile up for Oakland.

Cashman did a full rebuild without tearing everything down like every other team has to. If you think he's a hack I'd hate to see what you'd say about... any other GM that could replace him.

Houston
guys, most fans are stupid, impulsive, idiots that say the first shit that comes to their mind.
A few weeks ago astros "fans" were tweeting at Brian McTaggert that Hinch should be fired. Yea lets fire the coach who's team is 30 games above .500 when the division is vastly better than it was last year, less than a year after he managed us to our first world series win. Idiots.

also thanks for nothing yankees, geez.
