......These are tame compared to a lot of this shit I have gotten in the past though. Here's just one of many examples:
Other "gems" I've gotten:
-Multiple love confessions out of nowhere
-People automatically declaring me their "master" and then spamming me when I'm gone for a few hours cuz I have a life.
-People wanting me to rape them, choke them with my wang, etc.
-A like 8 page story that ends with the guy figuring out the "secret to ultimate power", which apparently involves bleeding through the eyes and ears even when "experienced" and "trained" in the arts of wielding energy, and he was reluctant to tell me it because he was afraid my inexperienced butt would straight up die.

I mean, as people have noted, as weird as it is you're still kinda playing along with it. Like, I get being nice, and I know it comes across as "you're asking for it" territory, but if you're looking for it to die then you're not really doing anything to kill it.
The whole asterisk RP thing isn't inherently creepy. Couple of the examples people have put up have girls playing along and even initiating. Yeah, it's weird and socially awkward as hell, but if both parties are into it then I can't really say much more about it. The creepy part is the "slide into DMs" piece, where you do the whole moe anime furry RP shit to a complete stranger.There's a degree of consent required that these guys don't realize is there because of how immersed they are in RP chat culture where the consent is by default present.

The whole asterik thing itself isn't creepy, no.
What's creepy is suddenly thrusting into my bowels or taking what I thought was a cute, innocent scene and suddenly turning it into bdsm shit. I suppose the last one is just straight up sexual harrassment though and the asterik thing has little to do with it (he wanted me to fuck him irl.)
In general I try to get them to stop by subtly hinting that I'm uncomfortable. Telling these guys to just fuck off often just makes things worse - many of them have a huge crush on my sona it seems and dont take heartbreak well at all. Being subtle often works, but if it doesn't I just ghost them.
