Don't give Atlus a pass. This is dumb. The Vita is deaaaaad. It's over. Time to move on. The Switch is the easiest business decision they have to make when making a Persona 5 Golden. It better be on the Switch. It's the handheld in Japan and the one popular.
Idk who makes the decisions at Atlus, but if Sega or whoever higher is smart they will make sure Persona 5 is on the Switvh.

All Persona games are on PlayStation. All SMT games are on Nintendo. Nocturne is the only exception.
I expect one for Pokemon, one for Smash Bros, and one for a general direct with some surprise game releases.
It's also worth noting that Best Buy removed that Smash demo announcement from the us page, looks like it was a big oops, and no Nintendo Twitter accounts have mentioned it. Looks like it was something that it's going to be talked about in the potential Direct itself.

They have the SMT branding (in Japan) which makes them mainline unlike the other true spinoffs. See Maijin Tensei and Persona for example. Devil Summoner only spun-off with Soul Hackers. Plus SMT 1-2 & If got ported to the PS1.
Face the facts Atlus goes for which platform is the most viable for their products.
Just because they release a lot of games for one manufacture doesn't mean they always will as Atlus has demonstrated.

The 3DS Link's Awakening thing is good to always spot fake leaks.
That rumor started because of NOA asking the media for ALBW quotes and some fake leakers like Sellars started parroting "Link's Awakening remake!" because of it... then the quotes were used for ALBW's Nintendo Selects re-release.
They work with exclusivity to pander to both Sony and Nintendo and get some marketing help and stuff. Considering P5 is PS only and SMTV is Switch only, I just wouldn't expect it if I were you.

re-releases aren't the same as "ports". Also, they almost never did multiplat releases through their whole story. Most of the ones they did were tests even (that failed).

At this point, I think they probably moved the DLC and put it in the sequel instead.
How are they not ports? Bringing any game to another platform involves porting. Not sure why we're changing definitions now.

I just see more in favor for Persona coming to Switch. Atlus don't need Sony to write blog posts about Persona. It was already successful and super popular without that.
I do think SMT V is exclusive because they got support from Nintendo for marketing. SMT is more nich than persona.

I would like to believe in some of this stuff but it also sounds pretty off.
- Nindies Together sounds way too good to be true, but I would like it.
- MK8D updating with only two tracks makes no sense, given that a cup is four tracks.
- I could have sworn we'd already seen a swamp-looking stage for Travis Strikes Again? Maybe it was a dark forest, I don't remember.
- LGP&E details seem highly unlikely.
- Not really expecting either of those Smash announcements to happen. We'll get something Smash-related from a Direct but I doubt it'll be either of those two characters.
- We would have seen new footage of Bayo 3 at E3 this year if it was coming out that soon. I don't expect anything new until TGA's at the earliest.
Nah, I think we are gonna see Odyssey 2 in a year or two just like Galaxy.
