This looks infinitely better than the first trailer.New trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWEtCsi3Eo8

Ehh, more render time costs money. It might be a (bad) stylistic choice, but technically it is cheaper. It doesn't cost anything to have extra frames in pre-rendered 3D. It's a stylistic choice.
To get a chance to work with the people who made Avatar? This is far from the worst transition.Danika... why the fuck would you leave Waypoint for this wet fart
I was going to mention this. It mightn't save much or any effort on the artistic side, but targeting a lower framerate has a direct relationship with render time, which both costs money and can impact workflow.Ehh, more render time costs money. The art really does look incredible. If only it weren't so damn choppy, it's ruining it for me. If it's like the trailer I feel like it'll take me outta it.
At times it feels okay, and other times it makes my brain feel like it's tilting sideways. Which is reallllly uncomfortable. I hope the story's so good that I just forget.

I wonder if this show would look better if you turn on motion interpolation.
it's actually hilarious how over the top the hate for korra isIt's the same showrunners. Some of you take your Korra hate to crazy heights
Now, you say Avatar...
Do you also mean Korra?
Cuz I'm torn between 'yay' and 'bleh'.

Still looks like ass in motion and that unstoppable joke was not very good. If it was coming from a Sokka like character sure but I don't think it fits that character.New trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWEtCsi3Eo8

Pretty hyped. Hope the animation is up to par.
Also... Korra was amazing and people have bad taste and don't deserve this new series if they say otherwise!
TLA doesn't have filler to my recollection. It has episodes dedicated to character development rather than being focused on the "main plot" but that's completely different from filler.Kinda agree. The Zaheer arc was good stuff.
If anything TLA has way too many filler episodes, for my liking anyway. Took a while to get going for me compared to Korra.
https://www.theverge.com/2018/9/7/17826544/the-dragon-prince-review-avatar-last-airbender-netflixThe show is rife with smaller elements, and the details seem designed to raise complicated questions for people to obsess over and elaborate on. Like Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Dragon Prince seems designed to not only build an elaborate world, but to build an elaborate fandom.

Unfortunately it seems like they were purposefully going for that look, and we won't be getting a smoother version anytime soon given each frame was apparently individually composited (at least based on one animator's explanation). It wouldn't surprise me that the story/writing will be good considering who's behind it, but god damn the animation is horrifyingly bad. Almost as bad as the recentt Berserk anime.
