Basically my setup.

50-60fps so far on max settings. Locked (so far) 60fps if shadows set to medium (2) rather than highest (3).

Honestly though, I just switched to 1440p supersaming and activated the 30fps cap, and I think I might keep it here. Game looks really clean now, and 30fps doesn't really bug me in games like this.

Sound like a pretty solid port then.

Might get it today. :)

This is an easy game to get into, yes? I don't need to know much about other games? I've only played VIII, IX, and always feel empty I'll never be able to try X. :(

Alright, it seems you can unlock the framerate. It also seems, while resolution scale may not work over 100% (not sure of it), I can get the game to run at higher than 4k (5k in my case). Will do additionnal testings.

Does it have Dualshock 4 icons?
Also interested in GTX 1060 impressions.

What kind of settings are you using?

All maximum except in on 1080p like most people still are these days :D

CPU is bored as heck GPU of course close to 100 like it should be running great for me no issues so far.

Someone earlier in the thread noted that it is locked at 4k resolution. Is that true?
This would be really silly, someone would have had to purposefully implement it that way.

Would love to hear about how the game runs at higher framerates. I'd be pleasantly surprised if it were totally (or even mostly) fine.
It running at 30 on console but them allowing 60 on PC would seem to indicate that they did everything the standard UE4 (deltaT) way.
It shouldn't be surprising for a modern game to run at arbitrary FPS, but I can still see why you would be ;)

Edit:

It doesn't make a huge difference whether you need to supersample externally or can do it internally, but it would have been nice.

Next question, do I set up my steam link for my Xbone controller or will I just use the built in steam link tv app with Steam Controller? Hmmm...

Steam Link downsamples nicely too right? So I should still play this at 4k.

Not at my main PC for a while to test, but hope my rig(gtx 1080, i7-6700k, 16gb ram) can run this at 1080p60fps with high settings

Have a look here:

For those having issues with language, you can always try Locale Emulator which should let you run any application in any locale without changing your Windows settings.

or
In case anyone wants to force English or another language, just open the Engine.ini and add this
Code:
[Internationalization]
Culture=en

(or the locale of the language you want).

Doesn't seem like it does. I've tried normal Steam, Big Picture Mode, and turning off Xbox controller support in the Steam controller settings. Game used Xbox prompts in all instances.
Dang. That's too bad. I wish games supported DS4 icons as standard but whatever, hopefully in the future.
Maybe someone will mod it in

Ah... My game is running terribly.

I also have the recommended specs and for you guys it looks good and runs good.

It also looks terrible at 1080p. How do I supersample it ?

I'd like to run a 30 fps good looking version if possible. I'm getting stutters and drops. Maybe the anti aliasing or the post process is doing this ?

also I added all the random resolutions for DSR in my control panel but only 1440p and 2160p show up for me.

Well, I prefer this way around, for futureproofing sake. I rather run games at native or higher res rather than having an internal res being scaled up to match the native res (ie game being locked at 4k, downsampling to 8k with internal res, upscaled then to 8k).

I might have unrealistic expectations but the shimmering grass and the aliasing present on Hero's hair seems a bit too pronounced ? I play in 1080p on max setting

it's a steam screenshot so it makes it a bit worse in terms of image quality just as a disclaimer

Game runs well at 1440p on my 980ti in the borderless mode. Apparently I'm getting dips to like 55 at times, but I do have a gsync monitor.

For some reason I was getting hitches in the prerendered videos.

Yeah, it's even there at 4k regardless of the antialiasing setting. Square-Enix's infamous dithering at work again?

It's not available on Xbox, but yes it's 30fps capped on PS4 Pro with 1440p checkerboarding.

It's not 1440P checkerboard on PS4Pro, at JP release it was 1800P checkerboard.

But their checkerboard solution is abysmal. It does look good and clean but when the camera moves everything is artifacting... It's not a good Pro mode at all.

But who gives a fuck ? The game is excellent and looks really really good outside of that earlier problem.

AMD min/rec specs are bunk, getting a mostly locked 1080p/60 on a Ryzen 5 1400/RX 580 combo, alongside 16GB of 3200/CL14 RAM.

There's small dips here and there but I'm guessing dropping shadows down to 2 would fix that, but it's honestly perfectly fine as is.

It's actually 1728p checkerboarding according to Digital Foundry.

Can anybody tell me if the PC version also has single texture loading issues. They happen regularly on PS4/PS4 Pro.

I installed FRAPS and now it's locked at 30 mostly...

Maybe it's because i had a windows update reboot right before launching the game and it was working in the background ? I'll keep an eye on it.

Can you guys tell me how to super sample it though ? 1080 looks way too bad even maxed out.

I just changed to full screen and selected 1440p resolution in game.

Of course, a locked resolution never makes sense.
I'm just saying it would have been nice to have unlocked resolution (as it seems to) and unlocked internal screen multiplier (at least to 200%).

Seen several people over on the Steam forums reporting 40-60 fps at 4k on a 1080ti with max settings (tho one user said he had antialiasing off) for those curious. Game is more intensive than I thought.

Hmm in 45 min in and there is some kinda mountain you could say. the more you reach the top performence actually tanks a bit and then stabalizes back to 60 fairly weird : o

EDIT: Its defenatly the shadows on 3 the far away shadows still get rendered fairly far and then you drop like that 2 fixes that but looks a bit worse. So if you ever have any performence issues Shadows FIRST then anything else the rest doesn't hit the framerate at all just shadows.

Any chance anybody has tested performance on either a gtx-680 2gb or a Gtx-770 2gb?

My rig is older, i don't trust I'll be able to run this better than my ps4.

Edit, rocking an old school 2nd Gen i5 @ 3.30 GHz btw
