I've been a PC player for a bit, but i gots to play Spider-man. In the meantime I'm playing Bloodborne. What have I missed out on. I know I need to play Horizon and GoW.

I also need to play last of us as I sold my PS3 right before it came out.

PS. Tips for Bloodborne coming from a Dark souls vet. (just started so all tips welcomed)

The Last Guardian will always be my solid pick when recommending PS4 games. It's a wonderful experience.

I also recommend Shadow of the Colossus Remastered, Until Dawn, The Order 1886 and even Ratchet and Clank. All great games.

As you have already mentioned, The Last of Us, Horizon Zero Dawn and God of War are all of them games that you must play.

the first area in bloodborne will take you 5-6 hours. your objective here is to explore and grab all the items and learn the combat. dont worry about losing souls. just pick up the items (you retain them even if you die) and try to find shortcuts back to the lamp.

the game gets easier from there. but you must must learn the game in the first area.

Replay Last of Us with its Remaster.

Bloodborne - there are no shields. Play aggressively so your health regenerates.

Shadow of the Colossus Remake and Uncharted Lost Legacy are also good games to play. Short too.

Parry timings for the first boss are imperative. Don't worry about bloodtinge, you won't be using it all that much, unless you want to do a gimmick weapon build. Remember to throw in some weapon transforms in your attack strings. You can get some neat damage by attack, attack, weapon switch.

May the good blood guide your way.

For PS4 games:

Infamous Second Son
God of War
Persona 5
Uncharted Collection/4
Gravity Rush Remastered
And if you haven't played Yakuza 0 or Nier Automata on PC, play it here.

If you're a Souls veteran, you shouldn't have any trouble with a Bloodborne. You can play it conservatively, still be a little aggressive and make it through the game. Once you've played one Souls game, it doesn't really change anything, even with Bloodborne's faster style of gameplay.

The toughest thing when you start out will be blood vials (health items). They're finite now and don't auto regenerate after a bonfire like in the Souls games, so you probably should spend like an hour just grinding vials off of the two werewolf enemies in the first area (near the first boss). You can cheese them by getting them stuck in the doorway at little house and kill them pretty easily.

This is the free driving game? I'll give it ago

I think there's a free PS+ version but I don't know what it includes or anything. It was a full price game at launch and you can still buy it I think. Try Japan in heavy rain or Norway in heavy snow at night. I still think it's one the best looking games I've ever played. It's a really fun racer too. Tons of content. It's my favourite racer on PS4 I think.

Bloodborne is by far the best PS4 exclusive so you're already in good shape. The Last of Us Remastered and God of War are also worth your time. Uncharted 4 is ok if you're thirsty for more.

Bloodborne tips - Most of your damage comes from your weapon, then stats. So if you need more damage, focus on upgrading the weapon. Unless you're planing to use specific weapons don't bother with bloodtinge. You can regain health even when the enemy hp bar is depleted, just spam R1 while he's in his death animation. Practice parrying, some of the enemies become much easier if you know how to parry them. Not to mention, that there are plenty of bosses that you can parry. While on the subject of parrying, visceral attacks scale with skill. Be aggressive, but don't just spam. Especially, when you want to regain your lost health, enemies might punish you for that. You can combo an attack into a weapon transformation (for example R1 then L1). Consider not locking on during some encounters/boss fights. While it might not be for everyone, personally I found that 3+ enemy fights are much easier that way. But it depends on the weapon/playstyle. Be patient.

Unlike Dark Souls, stamina is pretty generous in Bloodborne. I would suggest focusing on your primary attack stat and health for a while.

Also, bloodtinge is really really strong but there's very few weapons that take advantage of it and honestly it feels very cheap to go up against somebody focused on bloodtinge with the gun that uses that stat.

Also, enemies drop blood vials bullets, so if you have a chunk of health missing go ahead and use a blood vial before you pick up an item that way you more often are topped off and have max vials.

Play aggressive, and welcome to the hunt.

Gran Turismo Sport. It's probably the best racing game on the platform. It's a sim but it does a fantastic job at teaching you how to drive properly.

Nier Automata is a must.

The main difference between DS and BB is the reward for being aggressive. The health recovery tool rewards you for going for an attack in a tight spot rather than retreating. It's faster and the world is fantastic. Just get stuck in and enjoy. It's an amazing game. Also, play the dlc it's very very good and has some of the toughest bosses in the game.

Besides what you listed, give Infamous: Second Son a go. It's cheap, extremely polished, fun, and you can get through it quickly. Until Dawn, Resogun, Matterfall, Persona 5, any of the Uncharted games, Pyre, Alienation, Ratchet & Clank, and just personally for me, Killzone Shadow Fall are all worth your time. Almost none of those cost that much either.
