Marvel's Spider-Man - Review Thread

Side quests are going to be the most common complaint I bet. The writing's been on the wall for those for a good year or so.

Let's see how this goes.

We all know this is going to be at least a 40 page thread with people arguing about one particular review.

I'm excited preordered the deluxe edition.

Let's go! No matter the score, this is the most hyped I've been for a game since BotW.

I expect high 80s maybe 90

I think this game will do very well critically. At least 80+ OC but my money is on 90+

I have a feeling this is going to review way higher than I initially thought. Probably a 90 MC or better.

I really want this to be something special

Yeah, there seemed to be a lot of map icons of like picking backpacks off the wall Riddler Trophy style, so I wouldn't be shocked.

94+ meta and I'll buy a new controller and get this.

84-87 when all is said an done.

I mentioned this in the pre-review thread thread but I am really looking forward to the Easy Allies review. I think Jones and Huber were playing it for the review and I'm usually pretty in line with their tastes.

Is best superhero finally getting his Arkham Asylum? Sure hope so!!

no matter how this ends, i am 100% sure this is the greatest spiderman game yet

It looks like a pretty good AAA game so I would expect 80-min, people gone crazy with the amount of sub par games and massive 90+ games in recent years. The idea 85+ is not good is hilarious. Can't see it below 80 when the gameplay and performance seems solid even if the side stuff is pretty lacking. Only way I can see it being knocked heavily down is if its quite old fashioned in its open world design.
