Yeah this year has been particularly boring for me as a Giant Bomb fan. I think the only video I really enjoyed was the Besiege playdate.
I want to see them react to a scene I hit in Re:CoM tonight
it was like... weirdly striking, in a way that sorta felt brutal without fully meaning to
just the way the Replica is tossed aside, dead eyes open, staying there throughout the entire scene after beating Larxene too with the camera occasionally on it (and Namine being told to stay with it), and then just... the game puts you in the hallway after and the body is still lying there in the exact same way even as you can talk to Donald/Goofy/Namine
(and then Namine being slapped too, there's that)

The whole point of Mass Alex was for Vinny to prove to Alex that Mass Effect 2 is the game of the generation. They can't not do it.
Besiege and 13 deadly sims are stand outs, struggling to think of anything else. Maybe the randomized Zelda thing?
Yep. Jeff will never go for it, but they need someone to edit and cut down their footage badly. 2 hour long videos where nothing interesting happens for 1 hour and 50 minutes are hard to swallow.
Hadn't realised it until now but Mass Alex has probably been the only stand out series for me this year. 13 Deadly Sims was ok but I doubt I'd ever go back and rewatch it like I do with a lot of GB stuff.
It's the one off streams that's the highlight for me this year. This year's E3 streams were good as always, but I love the labo and the Xbox 1 on Xbox One streams.
Garfield was probably my favourite playthrough they've done this year. I know most don't feel this way but ranking of fighters being so regular has been a treat. Except that time where it's recorded even though everyone was sick. Maybe no need to be that regular.

Mass Alex is fantastic, best current feature easily
Who's The Big Boss was fun
Exquisite Corps was exquisite
13 Sims started strong and then became boring

Their features have been mostly fine but some were just long in the tooth and one just dropped off the face of the earth with nothing to indicate whats happened.

For me there were fun streams, just not many standout ones. I think a lot of it will carry on that way for me for West at least as I just find the combination of crew members doesn't do it for me anymore so even if it's an interesting idea for a show it's not enough.
Honestly I'm just starting to feel like I'm no longer in the target demographic for GB and it makes me feel a bit sad. When I was a student with lots of time and no money Giant Bomb was an actual life saver. Now I have money but I have like, 2 hours spare time on an evening. I just can't stick with it like I used to.

I got it around the time it first released and it's a big ass NO from me. However, since then they have updated the fuck out of it so, I don't know how it runs right now but I bet that it's better than when it first released because it was the absolute worst.

Same. There's so much I've enjoyed this year. 13 Deadly Sims is an all time great for me.
I gotta agree but it's not really an issue with giantbomb, I've just realised watching people play games isn't my thing anymore. i'm fine with just there podcasts

Besides GB E3 and GOTY stuff, All Systems Goku has been one of my favorite recent features (in the same vein as Brandon Plays Pokemon from Easy Allies). I guess I like the nostalgia and seeing others first experience something that I did in the past.
This is probably why I wasn't excited by the Monster Hunter World Video content from GB. Instead of watching the 'skeptics' learn and start to appreciate the game that Jason, Drew and Ian had been fans of before; Jeff, Brad and Dan seemed to put in significant time on their own before deciding to make content for the site. In the end Vinny explaining the Charge Blade to Dan was engaging, whereas everyone picking the weapon they'd been using and playing together was pretty boring.
I originally decided to subscribe for Tabletop games (and F1) content, which is disappointingly now a once a year thing. I try to watch Easy Allies and Loading Ready Run for that type of stuff now, but would rather some more of that type of content from Giant Bomb
On a side note, for people with any experience with card games (I have't played one in over a decade):
-What would be the equivalent of Exodia in a Giant Bomb based TCG?
-If there was a card that said "Roll % dice. If the result is 35%, you win the game", What card effects would combo to force the % roll to be exactly 35? (Maybe Banish X cards from graveyard)
