I know I have to add the games manually to my steam library but whenever I tried doing that with origin games it never really worked. Can I add Bethesda.net games to steam easily? What about battlenet and blizzard games? I wish more companies were like ubisoft in adding them to steam even if they use uplay.

Any help would be appreciated. (I wanna play fallout 76 on my sofa via the steamlink from time to time you see)

Add non-steam game button.

It might not work with certain games. But I think you may need to do the command launcher tool with Origin.

Origin doesn't play nice with Steam. They usually fail to even start if you launch them from Steam, and if they do, it kicks you to the Origin client instead of starting the game; making it unusable on Big Picture Mode or streaming.

As for Blizzard, I had to make a batch file that automatically logged me into Battle.net to use Overwatch on BPM with a Steam controller.

Stupid question. Doesn't Steam Link just stream your desktop? Could you not just alt-tab out of Big Picture Mode and start your game? I do it all the time for movies.

Never thought that Origin had something on top of the game .exe.

Thanks.

so you use that per non steam game such as like "no way out" or "unravel 2" and you can launch it via steam and the steam link?
Yeah. Per game. It's also great because it can close Origin after you quit a game (a feature Origin removed years ago for some reason).

I'm thinking that would kill controller support.

it states there is a exe file in those files to run but I see no .exe file

This wrapper requires no installation other than copying it into the directory of the game executable you wish to run through Steam BPM/Overlay. It also can simply be deleted if you wish to uninstall it at any time. If you have trouble running it, or are running Windows 8 or earlier, you may need to download and install the .NET Framework Runtime v4.7.1.
Edit: I was wrong, there is an executable according to above poster. Sorry!

Alt tab out of the steam client to the desktop and launch from there. That is how I run my media and emulators trough steam link.
