Mod Edit - Put effort into your games as the OP as done. State why you have as much time as you do. DO NOT POST A LIST OF JUST 5 GAMES. No one wants to read that.

18 month ago, history was changed forever nintendo released the switch, seems like a good time to look back and see what our most played games on the system are.

i know switch doesn't have the best activity log. it's not very accurate, it only shows the 20 most recent games you've played, there's no way to sort, etc. but i'm curious to see people's lists. also it would be nice to read a very short review about the games, what you thought, if you're done with the game or have plans to go back and play more, stuff like that.

so here's my list:

1. the legend of zelda: breath of the wild, 120 hours
there's not much to say, amazing game. i'm pretty much done (all quests/all side quests), only have the final floors of trial of the sword to do.

2. hollow knight, 65 hours
i stopped playing my steam version when i heard about the switch port. unbelievable value for the price. i didn't expect it to be this long, and this good. i'm kinda done with the game (104%), the stuff that are left are the super hard quests. i'll be back with the hornet DLC.

3. okami, 45 hours
i loved the game on PS2, ended up loving it even more 10 years later. it's a great port, very charming game and a very memorable experience. i didn't truly 100% it, but did all side quests. i may replay in a few years.

4. picross s2, 45 hours
it's picross. you just suddenly realize you've been playing the game for close to 50 hours.

5. picross s, 40 hours
again, it's picross.

1. Xenoblade Chronicles 2, 100+ hours
2. BOTW, 35 hours
3. Octopath Traveller, 15 hours
4. Mario Odyssey, 10 hours

That's pretty much it. XB2 was fantastic and I kinda feel like the whole device was worth it for that one alone, and I more or less enjoyed my time with Zelda and Mario, but I doubt I'll ever boot the latter two or Octopath again.

BOTW: 110+ hours because I wanted to get 100% completion with just about everything. I stopped playing once I beat all of the DLC.
Octopath Traveler: 40+ hours and I'm still playing this game. I've just completed everyone's chapter 3 so near the end of the game.
Shovel Knight: 10+ hours and am awaiting the final campaign next year.
MK8 Deluxe: 5+ hours only because I've 100% completed it on Wii U.
Fast RMX: 1+ beat a few races but never got into finishing the rest of the game.

Probably will stay that way until Smash comes out.

Breath of the Wild - 200 hours
Xenoblade 2 - 140 hours
Super Mario Odyssey - 65 hours
Octopath Travaler - 60 hours (Still playing)
Mario + Rabbids - 60 hours

Xenoblade could surpass Zelda with Torna on the way!

Breath of the Wild (90 hours)
Dragon Quest Builders (85 hours)
Hollow Knight (60 hours)
Splatoon 2 (30 hours)
Celeste (25 hours)

Dragon Quest Builders was the biggest surprise for me. Just started Octopath, so expect Celeste to drop off that list fast...

Xenoblade 2 - 180 hours
Love this game so much, still not finished with it yet but waiting for a patch to sort out the quest bugs.

Breath of the Wild - 165 hours
The biggest game I had at launch so played a great deal of it. Will likely restart and play through again one day.

Xenoverse 2 - 40 hours
Ridiculous amount of content and plays great in portable mode. Might not go back for quite some time when Fighterz comes out.

Stardew Valley - 40 hours
All of that was in the first month I got it. :P I'm afraid to go back in case I get addicted to it again.

Sonic Mania 35 hours
My top choice for quick play sessions, boosted with the Plus additions.

Mario Odyssey and Hyrule Warriors only just miss the list. I'm expecting the XB2 Expansion to get somewhere on this list next month.

Edited for emphasis, sorry OP and mods.

  1. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild: 145 hours
Not much to say. The greatest game ever made. Almost 150 hours in, I still go back to it, get enamoured for hours, find something new, and take in the never ending sights of Hyrule
  2. Xenoblade Chronicles 2: 60 hours
It's rough, unpolished, and flawed, but I love it. Great story, fantastic battle system, amazing music, and inventive world. I will go back to it once Torna comes out.
  3. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim: 40 hours
One of my favorite games ever, and I continue to chip away at it over time slowly. It's basically comfort food for me. When I don't want to do anything else, I pick up and play a few hours of Skyrim.
  4. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: 35 hours
I'm never going to stop playing Mario Kart. Still my go to game when friends are over, or to play online with my brother
  5. Splatoon 2: 35 hours
I play Splatoon 2 very sporadically, and honestly, Octopath, Okami, Monster Hunter, and Hollow Knight will soon overtake it, but it is definitely a game I will keep returning to in the future.

Splatoon 2 - 250 hours - I love this game, my favourite game to play and my second favourite on switch
Fortnite - 190 hours - I'm ashamed
Zelda botw - 185 hours - favourite game so delicious
Xenoblade chronicles 2 - 80 hours - this game is delicious
I don't remember what's below that since most of my library isn't in the activity log

1. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - 175 hours

Probably my favorite game on the Switch so far. It's the first action JRPG that I ever really got invested in. Love the combat system, can't wait for Torna.

2. Disgaea 5 Complete - 100 hours

Disgaea is definitely a series I enjoy popping back into every once in a while to mess with all the mechanics. I found the DLC characters from the previous games have more interesting narratives than the main game though, so I hope they bring them to Switch eventually...

3. Kirby: Star Allies - 50 hours

Weirdly enough, this was the first Kirby game that's really ever grabbed me, even after trying the 3DS titles. The only game I've EVER felt like 100%-ing. Definitely my most played 2018 title at the moment, at least until Octopath Traveler eclipses it. The free DLC is icing on the cake.

4. Octopath Traveler - 40 hours

I'm still part ways through this, but I decided to restart the game 30 hours in in order to redo my party. I just value certain characters Path Actions than I do the other character's personalities. I'll definitely clock up more time, just a matter of when.

5. Splatoon 2 - 40 hours

This is the game I always go back to whenever there's a lull in my game-playing, or when I'm available for a Splatfest. I'll eventually rack up more hours, though there might be another long JRPG that overtakes it.

Honorable Mention: Into the Breach. I've only started playing 4 days ago, but I can already tell that it'll dethrone some of my other games. It just has such a fun core gameplay loop and variety that it's my go-to pick up and play game at the moment.

I also have some other games with 25+ hours like Hyrule Warriors or Atelier Lydie & Suelle. Overall, the Switch has been great, probably what I've been gaming on the most ever since I got it. Love its portability since I have to travel too often to consistently play on my PC/stationary consoles.

I don't have many games yet but here:

1.- Pokemon Quest. 30 hours.

What can I say? This game revived my desire of capturing all 150 Pokemon. No trade exclusive evolution bullshit either.

2.- Bayonetta 2. 25 hours.

This game quickly became my favorite action game tied with God of War 3 (I haven't played 4 though). Simply beautiful. Currently doing a Jeanne run and then doing hard mode.

3.- Super Mario Odyssey. 15 hours.

The rightful successor of Super Mario 64. A joy from start to finish. My only negative is that you need motion controls to get some moons, that's annoying.

4.- Bayonetta. 10 hours.

This was also a lot of fun but 2 edged it out in the end. I need to go back and unlock Jeanne some day. I'm really happy I got the Climax edition.

5.- Dragon Ball FighterZ Beta. 3 hours.

I wasn't joking when I said I didn't have a lot of games. This beta was a lot of fun and convinced me to get the game eventually.

Other than those I have some demos. I want to get Zelda next but I'm waiting to make sure I get version 1.5.0 on the cart.

Xenoblade 2: 270 hours
Great game. I loved the music, characters, setting, gameplay... I can't wait for Torna. Having a lot of fun with the Challenge mode.
Skyrim: 70 hours
Mostly derped around in this. Gameplay is not that good, but I liked exploring.
Mario Odyssey: 55 hours
A bit on the easy side and not too memorable. I got all of the moons.
Kirby Star Allies: 35 hours
Totally legit Kirby game. Everyone is here.
Labo Variety: 10 hours
I had fun building the toy cons and playing the built-in games. Not too good at the garage portion since I'm not that creative. Vehicle kit is preordered.

I'm going to be waiting a long time for a game that captivates me as much as Xenoblade 2. ;_;

Zelda BOTW 150 hours
Skyrim 120 hours
Ultra Street Fighter 2 100 hours
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 100 hours
Mario&Rabbids 40 hours
Doom 30 hours
Fast Racing 15 hours
Bayonetta 1&2 5 hours

Doom, Skyrim and both Bayonettas are double dipped.

Got obsessed with Tetris once again. Celeste is one of my all-time favorites, and I want to play through it a third time soon.

Still playing Hollow Knight, at 82% but I kind of feel like I'm almost done with it now. Hard to say if there's anything important I've missed.

Nothing much to say about the rest. Except that less than 10 hours played means they were disappointments.

Out of my stuff that's active and ranked at the moment:
  1. Xenoblade Chronicles 2: 155+ hrs. Definitely one of my all time favorite jrpgs, keep going back for the dlc, can't wait for Torna(and hope it's a seperate icon so I can keep track of hours on it)
  2. One Piece Pirate Warriors 3: (65+) Solid musou, and what should be more telling is I've only had it for a month and a half, tons to do and unlock and the grind is more fun than most musou
  3. Dragonball Xenoverse 2(65+): good customization, plenty to do and unlock and quite a bit of fun with friends
  4. Super Mario Odessey(35+): what can i say that others haven't already
  5. LOZ BOTW: (? probably higher than SMO at least): great experience, haven't been back to it in a while, will probably do a replay soon
Been having a great time with the system, can't wait to put even more time into it

I have the Switch only since March

1. Xenoblade Chronicles 2: 63 hours. After beating chapter 3 (with 10h) it clicked on me and I spent a full week playing it nonstop. I loved the history so much I needed to see how it ended.

2. Octopath Traveller: 61 hours. It was the first game that got me on handheld, I found really entertaining the combat system and all the abilities you could mix on the characters.

3. Mario Odyssey: 60 hours. My first playthrough was rushed, 5-7hours, but on July I started a new save and got all the moons! I'm really proud, but I'm missing some costumes.

4. Zelda BotW: 50 hours. My first Switch game, I finished it on 4-5 days and haven't played it since. I thing I'll delete my save and start another.

5. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: 15 hours. I bought this to play with my brother and it was a good choice. I usually don't play it SP.

Stardew Valley
Zelda BOTW
Picross
Splatoon 2
Mario Odyssey

1. Picross S: It's extremely rare to find an engaging puzzle game that's also relaxing. Love this series and it feels much better playing it on Switch than a phone.

2. Puyo Puyo Tetris: I've been a Tetris fiend my entire life and naturally wanted a version on my Switch. Thing is, I've never played Puyo before so this game feels simultaneously like comfort food and something new and exotic.

3. Lumines: Being able to play an all-time puzzle classic like this again on hardware that does the presentation justice is stellar.

4. Octopath Traveler: Admittedly I only played this for a bit. While I enjoyed what I played, I can't shake the feeling that it's too similar to games I've played for my entire life. That wouldn't be a problem if it had a more engaging story.

5. Mario Kart 8: My friends and I made a fake championship belt and spent about a month competing for it in Kart. Good times haha.

1. Zelda BOTW - 135 hours
The first game I beat on the system. 120 shrines done. Visited every single place in the map, thanks to the hero's path. The game is wonderful. Not a single place is dull. But I still need to try the master mode one day though.

2. Splatoon 2 - 120 hours
A very addictive game, the online community is great. But I spend much time playing salmon run, since I'm not that into competitive stuff. I hope there will be more content relating to salmon run but it seems their focus is entirely on competitive mode update now. I have not finished the octo expansion since there are so many games popping out after that.

3. Ys 8 - 55 hours
Currently in chapter 5. I love the fast paced action and the well designed boss. However, the dialogue and story is a little bit too wordy for my like.

4. Octopath Traveler - 45 hours
Another great RPG. I have finished all characters' chapter 2 and decide to take a break trying out Ys 8. Since the story is divided into 4 chapters and there are journals of the previous cutscenes, it is so much easier to pick up after a break. I love the gameplay, music, visuals about this game, but I do feel trying to finish this game in a short time period will get one burned out fast.

5. Super Mario Odyssey - 40 hours
This game is pure fun. I finished the story in 20 hours and the 20 hours are all fun without any filler. The HD vibration is wonderful! I love the feeling of swimming in seaside kingdom.

I have also spent 35 hours in Hollow Knight but got stuck in a hard boss. Well, I need to actually finish games before I start new ones... After Ys 8 and Octopath it's MHGU time. Another game I can see myself spending many hours in.

Breath of the Wild - 160 hours
On of the few Zelda's outside Wind Waker and Majora's Mask to have kept me this engaged.

Puyo Puyo Tetris - 50 hours
One of my ultimate Switch games. Handy for portable play and an absolute blast as local multiplayer when played on the television.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - 45 hours
Add in 220 hours from the Wii U version and this easily my fave MK next to the DS version.

ARMS - 40 hours
The game that got me back into fighting games and my GOTY 2017. Shit's addictive.

Splatoon 2/Oddysey - 35 hours
Took me a while to warm to Splatoon 2, but I've come to enjoy it anyway. Oddysey had me hooked though.

Not much has changed for 2018 just yet. But im expecting Octopath, Hollow Knight, DBFZ, LGPE and Smash Ultimate to change that real soon.

1- Legend of Zelda: Breathe of the Wild
2- Super Mario Odyssey
3- Korg Gadget
4- Yoku's Island Express
5- Either Splatoon 2 or Snake Pass- though neither is something I played much off.

Until a new 3D mario or Zelda (or remake) comes up, the Switch will just be for games to play when i'm on long flights.

1. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - frankly, it's only first because the game is damn long. I loved it that i never wanted it to "just end already" but damn is it long.

2. Blazblue Crosstag battle- the surprise underdog. Bought it because it had RWBY with persona 4 as a bonus. Wound up being a great intro to fighting games and picked up UNIST because of it. Love this game.
3. Dragonball Xenoverse 2 - only other Switch game i beat
4. mario odyssey
5. Breath of the wild.

Only scratched the surface of these 2. I have a long time of switch gameplay ahead of me. . .and this is all before smash gets a few thousand hours off of me.

1. Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild - 280 hours or more - This is what 100% ing it 3 times will get ya i get. Still need to do the Champions Ballad stuff so it will almost definitely end up at over 300 by the gens end. My Goty last year and for sure a top 5 favorite game for me.

2. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - 160 hours or more - This is legitimately one of my favorite RPGs of the last decade. I got max level with my whole party and got all the blades and beat all the super bosses so honestly this number feels a little low for how much time it feels i put in this game.

3. Splatoon 2 - 115 hours or more -This one would have the most steady line of all the games on this list a couple of hours playing with friends a couple of times a week really adds up I suppose.

4. Fortnite - 90 hours or more - Most recent game on here I played a little on PS4 when fortnite BR first game out but its become the game I play when I come home and I'm tired from work so it wracks up at least an hour or two a day. Still not Tier 100 battle pass though, sad.

5. Stardew Valley - 85 hours or more. - I have another 120 hours on PC for Stardew but man this game is, to pardon the overused phrase, perfect for switch. I dropped so many hours in the switch version of Christmas Break and it was extremely jolly.

my 6-10 without the times are
6.Binding of Isaac : Afterbirth
7. Super Mario Odyssey, this might go up I am planning a second playthrough next time there is a break in game releases
8. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
9. Ys: VII Lacrimosa of Dana
10. Octopath Traveler, this one is almost guranteed to shoot up the list because i still have like 60% of the game to get through and I am still plugging away at it.

Man i used my switch quite a bit.

If you enjoy the core gameplay, there's surprisingly a lot of complexity for the abilities. Every "friend" essentially has a Smash-lite moveset, and the post game modes have a lot of replayability the same way Melee's Classic and Adventure modes have replayability for every fighter, if that makes sense. As someone who enjoyed playing through all the characters' single-player content in Melee, I was surprised how much I enjoyed the post-game.

Xenoblade 2- 165 hours. That was all in one playthrough. It wasn't 100% as I still don't have a few of the non DLC blades and their quests done but it's close. I haven't gone back to it for new game+ or anything yet. The expansion will be the next time I play.

Zelda- 140 hours. About 40-50 of that was my first playthrough before I eventually sold the game on a good trade in deal and re-bought it a few weeks later digitally. By then I decided starting over was the best move and then my full playthrough took the rest of the time. DLC is included in there but I never did get around to clearing the expansion dungeon. Just kind of got bored and drifted to other games.

Hyrule Warriors- 80 hours and counting. I go back to this one for an hour or two every few days to have something mindless to play. The amount of content in the game is crazy and I'm working on adventure maps.

Mario + Rabbids- 50 hours. This includes the donkey kong expansion which was really good. Probably my favorite switch game so far.

Mario Odyssey- 40 hours. That's about how long it took me to get 750-800 moons before I quit and sold the game. Really didn't like anything about this game at all and continue to be confused as to why 3D mario is considered a big deal.

1. Splatoon 2
In dark times and depression i thought why not give that "kiddy" game a go so i checked out the testfore and was like OMG THIS GAME IS AAMZING WHY DID I EVER SKIP THE OG SPLATOON. So after that ended i bought splatoon 1 and played that daily/regulary till 2 came and bam played that every single day and i am currently closin in on 1000 hours played i was certainly surprised my favorte piece of content is the octo expansion that is one of the best singleplayer experiences i ever had and so is the multiplayer in general.

So fast forward to today i have marina, and both squid sisters tattooed on my body splatoon cured my depression and thats why i have those tattoos. I also own almost all splatoon amiibo except the recolours and have like 10 splatoon shirts and my most favorite ones are the official squid sister splatfest shirts wich i got from japan (ordered online).

2. Fortnite
I was always meh on the battle royale genre but 300+ hours further i can't lie to myself its mad fun i play it with my best friend and my sister and her bf alot and its really darn fun i admittedly bought some skins and stuff but now i never have to spend a dime abynore cuz ill just use the vbucks from the battlepass for future ones and get skins etc that way.

3. Zelda Breath of the Wild +-200 hours
This game man i have been waiting for it for almost six years it was the reason why i bought the switch day uno. And damn the game delivered the story could be better but the ganeplay and freedom was awesome its how future zelda games should be like only improvemet is better dubgeons and a story and underwater explorations + a boat to sail in :)

4. Mario Odyssey
This game i played it with a grin on my face all the way through mario 64 ds was my first 3d mario game and having a game like that on steriods was amazing its my most favorite mario game ever i felt like a child again playin through it. 100+ hours btw.

5. Sonic Mania (plus) 75+ hours and counting. I grew up with 3D sonic mostly and a few 2D games but got into clasic way later but damn this game is the most perfect sonic game i ever played imo. The levels still hold secrets and new paths i never seen after 70+ hours and the playable characters are amazing especially with the plus dlc wich adds a slightly remixed harder mode too wich is awesome.

So yeah this is my list.

1) Zelda BOTW - 205 to 210 hours
I've beaten the main game on wiiu with 60 shrines in 45 hour mark. Then 100%'ed on switch(yes, with all the korok seeds, map locations and armor upgrades) and get to the half way on the master mode. Not only that its my most played game on the switch but after Animal Crossing New leaf (550hr) this is my second most played video game. With a whooping 205 + 45 hours. I adore it and can't wait to get a sequel. Maybe with flying, diving and more runes to mess around with.

2) Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - 135 to 40 hours
I think completing the game took 60 hours of my time. I stopped playing when I got all the rare blades. Definitely planing to get back when the new standalone game comes out. I like it, not as much as the first Xenoblade though. I regularly listen to the soothing OST the game has. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tL0zrN1_ei8

3) Splatoon 2 - 90 to 95 hours
Was playing salmon run like mad last summer. Not much since then though. I'm not really good at having a multiplayer game I regularly return to. Want to buy the Octo expansion but don't know if it's worth it.

4) Mario Odyssey - 55 to 60 hours
Couldn't stop playing until I hit the 999 moons. I think it took me 10-15 days. I would really love some meaty DLC.

5) Dead Cells 45-50 hours
Up until dead cells I've never liked a single rougelike. The feeling of progression kept me playing it. I've only beaten the boss once(around 35 hour mark) and I still play one round everyday before going to sleep.

Really happy with the play times. There are bunch of indie titles below 10 hour mark and I think in total I've hit 1000 hour mark already. More than WiiU already.

Not sure if I agree with the mod edit. I was enjoying the thread with the lists+hours played. So "no one wants to read that" is not true. I also don't really want to read people's takes on a lot of these games (e.g most people have the same reason for Zelda). A mixture of short and detailed lists is nice. Up to the poster I reckon.

1. Zelda BotW: over 135 hours. Tried the DLC but I think I had enough at that point. Amazing game.

2. Splatoon 2 about 50 hours: haven't finished the single player yet either

3. Hollow Knight 50 hours. Amazing game, 103% completion and I'll always associate the game with the birth of my first child who is now 5 weeks old :)

4. MK8 Deluxe 45 hours. Played the hell out of it on wii u so I didn't do play too much again on switch. Triple gold star 200cc was fun.

5. Xenoblade Chronicles 2, 45 hours. Still playing this one. Might be a while lol.

1. Breath of the Wild
An incredible game that has so much to offer. I'm well into 100+ hours into the game, with DLC included. In a franchise that has some of the best games of all time, Breath of the Wild might be in my top 3.

2. Xenoblade Chronicles 2
I rarely max out characters in RPGs, but something about this game made me want to do so. There's something very satisfying about progression in this game, and being able to take down the level 90 monsters that massacred you in the beginning of the game feels great. Haven't touched any of the DLC, but I imagine that'll boost me well past 200 hours.

3. Super Mario Odyssey
Another amazing first party title on the switch. The game is just a joy to play, and there's so much content I still haven't finished.

4. Hollow Knight
This one kind of surpirsed me. I was looking forward to playing it, but I didn't think that I would enjoy it as much as I did. It's easily my favorite game of the type next to Super Metroid.

5. Sonic Mania
I can replay this game over and over. Easily the best Sonic game in well over a decade, and brings together some of the best aspects of the classic games. Plus is a great addition and playing as Mighty and Ray in a game again is unreal to me.

Runner Ups: Splatoon 2, Mario and Rabbids.

Xenoblade
Octopath
BOTW
Stardew Valley
Super Mario Odyssey

Edit: just read the mod edit.

These fives games are definitely in my top 20 games of all time. I know Xenoblade and Octopath have their issues but I couldn't put those games down.
Stardew Valley is a game I'll probably play for the rest of my life. Super Mario Odyssey was such a joy to play. I probably looked like a lunatic playing. I dont think I ever stopped smiling. BOTW was my best gaming experience since Pokémon Blue when I was a kid.

Here you will find my playing time.
1 - The Legend of Zelda: Breath or The Wild : ±115 hours
Good game with beautiful artstyle. However, I do not yet have all the shrines and other things that can be collected.
2/3 - Splatoon 2: ±32,5 hours
It is an accessible game for someone who is visually impaired. I only play Tower Control.
2/3 - Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: ±32,5 hours
I got it for free because I sold the Wii U version. I only play it with family.
4 -The Elder Scrolls V - Skyrim : ±27,5 hours
Nice game, but I would play it more on the Switch if this version had mods.
5 - Wolfenstein 2 The New Colossus: ±7,5 hours
I play this game for the story (I'm not a fan of shooters) and I like it so far.

If you want to know the playing time of a family member who plays a lot:
1 - Rocket League: ±337,5 hours
2 - Fortnite: ±252,5 hours
3 - The Legend of Zelda: Breath or The Wild : ±132,5 hours
4 - Minecraft (Nintendo Switch Edition): ±120 hours
5 - Super Mario Odyssey: ±52,5 hours

I've only had my Switch for ~7 months, but what a glorious time it's been.

1) Zelda BotW - 150 or more hours.
Started my playthrough on Master Mode. I've yet to complete a single Divine Beast. Just last week, I went to Zora's Domain for the first time and saw the elephant up close. However, I've completely dominated Hyrule Castle and its surroundings. I also engaged the final boss early on and beat a couple of the forms. I still have so much to do. What a game!

2) Bayonetta - 75 hours or more.
I was wrapping up Hard mode and then stopped playing. Switched over to running Angel Slayer for months instead. There's still a lot for me to unlock. I've got to give it up to all parties involved, this is a solid port and Bayonetta on handheld is excellent. Buy this game people... and Bayo 2... and pre-order Bayo 3... please.

3) Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1- 10 hours or more.
I ran X1 to completion, a little bit of X2, and goofed around in X4. The rest of my time has been spent watching the OVA, scrolling through artwork, and listening to the music player. Great collection, despite the issues.

4) Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon - 8 hours or more.
This game is fucking great and I hope the franchise takes off. I'd love another classicvania after RotN. Incredible package for a stretch goal game that literally came out of nowhere.

5) Hollow Knight - 2 hours or more.
I played a little bit, then restarted my file. Beautiful, dark art style, somber music, and enjoyable combat. But, I wasn't "wowed" by what I played. I'm not seeing why this game has so much hyperbole around it and why it's "better than Super Metroid and SotN." Keep playing, right? lol

1) TES V: Skyrim. ~100 hours. (Ridiculous, considering that I double dipped. But as someone else said, it's basically comfort food for me. Portable Skyrim+headphones is the best skyrim, though I wish it had mods. No other game on Switch has such old, serene atmosphere and sound.)
2) BotW. ~80 hours. Great game, in some ways far superior to Skyrim, but its world doesn't quite have the same draw for me, so I actually played it less despite loving it.
3) Stardew Valley. ~70-80 hours. Charming little game, very addictive, with great atmosphere and gameplay loop.
4) Mario Kart Deluxe. ~60 hours. A perfect game to play on short breaks.
5) Mario Odyssey ~50 hours.

I have 6 physical games, and each of them have seen an insane amount of playtime, as seen below. The handheld nature of the game combined with the quality of the games makes these some of my most played titles ever. It's very rare that I ever play a game for more than 20, so the fact that I could with these is a testament to how good each of these were. I don't even have much time to play games, but all of them were so addictive that I found myself sacrificing other things to play them. My next most after these is around 15 hours or so played.

1. FIFA 18 - 240 hours
Most of it is also friends and stuff playing it while I do other things. Career mode is not as good as FIFA 13, but still very addictive.

2. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - 115 hours
Very few single player games can even keep me interested for 20 hours. The fact that this did it for 115 is just amazing. Think this is the longest I've ever played a non-Pokemon/FIFA/Smash game.

3. Splatoon 2 - 65 hours
I play this almost every day. The best game on the Switch in my opinion. Should overtake BOTW eventually.

4. Super Mario Odyssey - 65 hours
One of the best Mario games ever. Absolutely loved everything about it.

5. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - 60 hours
Will get back into it later to try out some of the expansion content and post-game. Campaign was excellent, my favorite JRPG of the ones I've tried.

6. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - 55 hours
Played 65 or so on the Wii U as well (my second most played game on that console), so Mario Kart 8 has seen a LOT of play from me in total. A great time with friends.

1. Splatoon 2 - 345 hours
Uhh...yeah. This is far and away my most played Switch game so far (and I only really see Animal Crossing dethroning it someday). There's something about Turf War that is just so relaxing to me, and I find myself constantly going back to this game to unwind. And when I want something more intense I'll play ranked modes or Salmon Run, or participate in a Splatfest. Plus the single player campaign and Octo Expansion offered a great amount of content as well.

2. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - 185 hours
The best game on the Switch. Not much to say here. The game world is so vast and every time I boot up the game I stumble upon things I'd never seen before. It's just an exceptional game.

3. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe - 115 hours
Kinda crazy considering I already put in over 100 hours into the original Mario Kart 8 on Wii U. Currently this is my go-to couch co-op game on the Switch (although that should change when Smash releases). The new battle mode has honestly brought me back way more than I expected and I enjoy just hopping on for a few online matches here and there.

4. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 - 90 hours
A fantastic JRPG with a lovable cast and surprisingly good story. I'll end up diving in more once Torna releases and I finally get the season pass with the physical release.

5. Octopath Traveler - 85 hours
My favorite RPG on the system. The art style is so beautiful and fully realized. I love the characters and their own unique tales of struggle and adversity. I plan on returning to this one to complete the bonus content I missed out on, but I know it's gonna take quite a bit of grinding so I'm currently on a break for now, lol.

Honorable mentions: Super Mario Odyssey (60 hours), Mario + Rabbids (don't remember but I think it was about 30-40 hours)

Mine would definitely include BOTW if it wasn't for the fact that I played it on Wii U. With that being said...

1. Super Mario Odyssey
Incredible game. One of the best. Every moment was a joy.

2. Paladins
Yeah, already. I just love it. Plays great on the Switch. My addiction.

3. Monster Hunter XX
Struggled through tens of hours of MH in Japanese because it wasn't out in the West. Now that it's released here (as GU) I'm sure that'll overtake it.

4. Splatoon 2
Splatoon perfected. Barely touched any of the single player stuff (despite buying the expansion!). Mostly ranked play.

5. ARMS
Bit of a surprise, this one. I rented it, didn't really love it. And then, before you know it, I'd played 30 hours of online and I was hooked. Bought it now.
