Yup. Which is good, imo. I support having a place to put my thumbs and this looks to be the minimum amount of space need for that.

I am now extremely interested to see what next year's Premium will be like. I love my XZ Premium and said I'd wait for folding phones before I upgrade, but the way they're going I might get very tempted to upgrade.

Edit.
Here it is beside the S9+

Yup, finally a modern looking Xperia. I think it looks better than S9.Loving everything about it besides no dual camera setup and the small amount of RAM. Why is there no dual camera here when everybody absolutely loved it on Premium I will never understand?

I'm still not a fan of the designs after XZ Premium, which is what I have. Bezels never bothered me and I actually kind of not like phones that has not enough bezels for thumbs. And I have small hands.

Still getting used to the back design as well. In any case I'll probably get the Premium when it comes next year and when my contract expires earlier in the year. Been using Sony phones exclusively for more than 10 years.

This is very very tempting. Currently have a XZ Premium.

I know that if I upgrade either next years first flagship/Premium will make me wish that I had waited.

Just smartphones in general. A mid range to high end all are so similar to me. So little that separates them. It just amazes me there are people that still look to upgrade their phones yearly.

Some people have money to burn on a yearly upgrade, some people upgrade when their contract expires. I don't think we can lump everyone into a single category here on why they might be interested in this, or any other phone.

Me, I bought my XZ Premium last year and it's been extremely solid ever since. While these newer phones have some features I'd like to have, I can't justify an upgrade just yet. I'll be giving it some serious consideration when next years Premium model gets announced though.

I've had my phone for over two years now. It's on its last legs as the company who made it is about to go bankrupt. I don't know, if I wanted a new phone, this would be the time to get it, no?

Plus, maybe for you the phones all seem the same, but that's not true for everyone. For someone who doesn't play video games, a PS4 Pro is the same thing as a PS4.

Yeah obviously I'm talking about people that buy good mid to high end phones and look to upgrade every year or other year. There isn't that much of a difference. I'm going to have my phone for 4 years easy. It does all I want it to.

Personally I'm waiting for the XA2 Plus which apparently has an audio DAC onboard, much as the more expensive LG V-series. I'm very much looking forward to the GSMArena review to see what it can do on the audio front.
