The change seems reasonable enough to me. It's reversing the decision in the old place to split (etcetera) community threads into their own subforum; the whole reason behind that was to prevent high-participation community threads from burying new threads. The entertainment/etcetera split will just give them more visibility, and because they'll be mixed in with regular threads they'll naturally get a lot more views. And if they end up cluttering the main entertainment/etcetera thread in the future, then that's when you re-evaluate the entertainment/etcetera split or the lack of a community subforum for them.

Like, it's pretty difficult to build a new community unless you advertise in a lot of different threads, or have a big thing to rally everyone together beforehand (like a game release; or better yet, a series of games. Or a general thing like sports or something).

I was only hesitant about it at first because from the title, it's like it's quarantining "politics" into etcetera and leaving entertainment for everything else, but they make it clear that's not the case.

So all in all, I don't see the big deal.

This all seems logical. I'm probably gonna reassess all this in the morning.

Here's a good image.

Yeah but what does Ja Rule have to say about this?

Rorie asking if they're going to QL Spider-Man. Like... if that's a question then what is Giant Bomb any more?

Is it good? I remember the hype surrounding it a long, long time ago... when it was out for the PSP?

it's supposedly excellent

and it was on the Wii first, though it got ported to everything including the PSP

I've been waiting 10 years for this game yet forgot it came out in 3 days time. Doesn't help that it's sandwhiched in between DQ11 and Spider-Man.

that and it being PS4/PC only means I'll be playing it on PS4 and constantly switching between the 3 of them + likely still KH (I'll take a break to focus on these other games before KH2 after I finish Re:CoM, but I'm not quite near done Re:CoM)

damn I missed the Postmortem because I was busy breaking Chain of Memories and then the bad announcement thing; I'll catch it tomorrow

man, I need to learn how to do the "break Chain of Memories" thing

beat KH1 earlier this year and it held up incredibly well, but Re:CoM threw me off my rhythm. GBA CoM >>> Re:CoM

Man, I just learned that
A. The SCUM game is made a least partially by Croteam?
B. They were very insistent on keeping Nazi tattoos in the game and only patched them out because Devolver told them to.
*sigh*

It's a good question, they can't look at all the B-games out there.

This is either Kingdom Hearts or Bitcoin related and I can't tell which is worse

I fell in love with SCUM when Brad pulled up the page with all the vital statistics on it. I don't care how dull the rest of their showing of the game looked, I think I'm gonna pick it up.

I'm currently rewatching all the Mission Impossible movies. I'm like.. 20 minutes into the second one and my first thought is, how do you go from a movie by Brian De Palma that's still very watchable to this?

I refunded The Messenger. Yeah it's good that Devolver got rid of the Nazi tatts but I kind of feel grubby for supporting a publisher that allowed that to happen in the first place.

Oh and this is far from the only incident that lead to this. 75% of their games have some shitty controversy-bait.

(Oh and the messenger was not a game I liked at all so no loss)

On a non-Nazi note - I got more achievements in 3 Into The Breach runs on Switch than dozens on PC.
I bought that last night and was surprised by how "easy" it is considering I never even got through FTL. I played three campaigns, one on easy and two on normal, and finished two of them (after two islands). But it definitely seems to be more about unlocking and playing through the game with all the different squads so I'm not really complaining. And of course there's always hard mode.

You can also do the achievements on easy to unlock more squads.
I would highly recommend doing the Into the Breach achievements, because they are mostly new ways to play and fun to figure out.

I really love Focus, which has Jamie Foxx as the uncredited featured artist. I think she's had a couple really good pop songs on each of her last few albums.

i seriously can't get into photo modes in games and i think it's because i'm largely an indifferent photographer in real life as well

Photo mode? No thanks.

Unlockable costumes? Yes pls.

I long for the days of a dozen+ unlockable Spidey costumes.
