Never understood why they didnt port the Wii Game to 3DS. Would have made alot of sense as a 3D showcase title.
well its certainly not because of sales potential on tegraConsidering it's running on Shield/Tegra X1 already and they've changed the buttons and such... It makes you wonder why it's not on the eShop.
Seems abysmal. Gotta think they'd be doing way more... everywhere else
Then again, Nvidia Shield exclusive
how much did those games sell on wii? how much did the successors sell on switch,? how much would hd remasters on switch sell?Dunno, is almost 20,000 total downloads on the Nvidia Shield in China, a bad thing?
How many Nvidia Shields did they sell in China?how much did those games sell on wii? how much did the successors sell on switch,? how much would hd remasters on switch sell?
I can't tell if you're sarcastic. These are sales on a niche platform in a country where Nintendo has traditionally next to no official presence. These numbers aren't representative of what Nintendo games would sell on other platforms.wow so much for nintendo games on other platforms selling well... nintendo needs to stay first party otherwise their software sales will get slaughtered
Are they running in HD?It is strange that they aren't using these HD ports to fill the gaps in the Switch schedule. I know they are afraid of high-quality legacy software taking players time and money away from new full-priced titles but they would at least make the mid-year drought a little easier to endure.
It does make you wonder if Nintendo will ever allow anything between the NES and Wii U to exist on the Switch.
Would be a crazy missed opportunity to have basically nothing from the snes, 64, gc, wii, gb/ba, or ds on the switch. It is strange that they aren't using these HD ports to fill the gaps in the Switch schedule. I mean nintendo had no problem putting a 4 year old Tropical freeze port for 10$ higher than it was back on the original launch. WWhd is older, so they could sell it at $60 again.I can see why they are hesitating though. If you have the choice between spending $20 on a HD version of Wind Waker, Skyward Sword or Twilight Princess, and $60 on Breath of the Wild, a lot of people will just go for the cheaper Zelda experience. NES games aren't an issue because they offer such a crude experience relative to modern expectations, but a game like Mario Galaxy HD offers a comparable if not superior product to Mario Odyssey.
Nvidia personally worked on those games to port them in HD for the Shield, yes.

No, they're being emulated.Nvidia personally worked on those games to port them in HD for the Shield, yes.
They use the right analogue I believe.
DF did a great video on it
maybe China just not into Nintendo games much?wow so much for nintendo games on other platforms selling well... nintendo needs to stay first party otherwise their software sales will get slaughtered
There's no context. How many Shields are sold through in China?
As far as posters whining or wondering these aren't available on Switch, Nintendo's has seemingly made the correct decision at every juncture with Switch so so far, including the things they're not doing. Why unceremoniously drop these titles among the indie gold Rush, when you could, for example, be adding these to the Nintendo Online service with added functionality 4 years from now?

Correct. Nvidia implemented the emulation solution. They didn't port the games to Android though. It's Nvidia's team working on it and modding the HUD and such to be appropriate for the Shield system.
This isn't a problem on other platforms either. Many Nintendofans will just buy both.I can see why they are hesitating though. my point is that those games should be system sellers in particular if nintendo never released those games in china. Is there the same install base for nvidia shield as there was the Wii and/or switch? If not, then it's kind of a bad comparison.
Why do you keep ignoring all kinds of context to prove a point you seem to desperately need validated?my point is that those games should be system sellers in particular if nintendo never released those games in china.
